Here are my main weapons:
* Denture cleaning tablets
* Hydrogen Peroxide
* Baking Soda
* Lemon

Between every manicure I'll try one or the other method:
1) Soaking my nails in water with added denture cleaning tablet.
2) Soaking my nails in water with hydrogen peroxide & baking soda.
3) Soaking my nails in lemon juice.
I'll also use 2 coats of base coat. I'm gonna take pictures of my nails and I'll get back to you in a couple of weeks.
Sponge Bob isn't happy. He wants to be the only yellow thing I have.

Thanks for looking!
Good Luck! Hope all goes well. && Don't forget to visit my blog at www.xmaterialgirlsx.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteme too! hope it works, I might need it someday too! :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! The key ingredient of the lemon is the essential oil contained in the skin (far more active and efficient than juice). Don't hesitate to press the skin against your nails. :)
ReplyDeleteYou let me know if any of those actually work, Please!
ReplyDeleteI had very yellow nails too and try baking soda and lemon jucie - it didn't work. :-(
ReplyDeleteMuahahah!
ReplyDeleteIf none works, try hydrogen peroxide 10%
=D
Thanks, Lisa! :) I'm always happy to check out new blogs.
ReplyDeleteMe too! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, we'll make it work...*talks slowly* we will make it work. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nathalie. I'll rub that lemon against my nails like crazy. Thanks for reminding me of that! :)
ReplyDeleteSure thing!
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm not expecting miracles, but we'll see.
ReplyDeleteThis laugh sounds evil. Do you want my nails to fall off? :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought your nails were that yellow. :D
ReplyDeleteI hope one of these methods work. I use 2 coats of base coat and my nails are still yellow.
ReplyDeleteLMAO! I read the title and never would've thought you were talking about your nails being yellow! i love your posts they're hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLive long and conquer!
ReplyDelete:)
I'd love to see if any of those work for you. Lemon and denture tablets didn't do much for me. If I have the correct translation of baking soda that did do some good but I haven't had the chance to try peroxide yet.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! :) I swear by a weak bleach solution. I can't wait to see if one of these 'nicer' products work!
ReplyDeleteGood luck on this, my dear. I just wanted to let you know that after using this as a basecoat that I got from Sally Beauty supply (found here: http://www.sallybeauty.com/Yellow-Stopper-Top-Coat/SBS-507100,default,pd.html) 2 times (2 coats for each mani) the yellow was gone!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your solutions work for you. Can't wait to see the results. Your methods might be cheaper than this thing! :)
But they are, they are. :)
ReplyDeleteKeeping my fingers crossed...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystal!
ReplyDeleteOh my! I can't wait to see the results! I heard the denture tablets work but I still haven't tried it out myself. I'm so tired of my yellow nails!! *gurrrr*
ReplyDeleteI hope one of these methods will work for you! Thanks for doing this Nihrida!
LOL :)))
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna try it all!:))) I don't expect to see results over night...but we'll see what happens in few weeks.
ReplyDeleteI think Hydrogen Peroxide isn't 'nicer'. :)))
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't look bad. I might try this one day also. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Wan. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)
ReplyDeleteill be lookinf foward for ur update on this blog... good luck i hope u'll find a very great way to remove yellow nails...
ReplyDeleteP.S.
once i tried a polish that made in china & after i removed the polish it turns my nails to yellow..my friend told me to use the 4 way buffer... i think i used it in a wrong way.. coz i file the slightly rough surface on my nails... though i know it will make my nail bed weak i still do it..but then the yellow layer on my nails are gone.. i tried that method once & ill never do it again...its up to u if u want to try it or not...
I was scared! :P Uff.. It goes about nails. I didn't have this problem, so I can't help you. Good luck with them:))
ReplyDeleteThanks, Thriszha! Buffing just isn't the way to remove stains from nails, IMO. I gently buff them once a month (at most) just to make them smoother. I'm still rooting for preventive actions. :) We'll see what happens.
ReplyDeleteDo not worry! I'm usually very peaceful person. :) Thanks!
ReplyDeletegood luck! Can't wait for results
