What's Up With That?

I'm so lazy. I have a sketch on my desk for two months now... still no color on it. I found out that I'm really ''creative'' for like a month a year when I paint/draw like crazy. Other 11 months - NOTHING. What's up with that?!? Does this happen to you too?

I'd really like someone to kick me in my rear end. Maybe that would help me. I'm almost embarassed to say, this one is from 2007. Oh my...

Halle Berry in the making:

Thanks for looking!

You are not alone! I will go on a creative burst for a month or so where I crank out drawings like a machine and then ppflfpllfff.....nada! I have no idea why but that is the way it goes for me too!

  3. So it isn't just me... I really wonder if this has to do with creativity or it's just a seasonal thing (I draw more in warm half of the year). Is there a place I can see your drawings?

I found that my creative juices weren't flowing when I lived in certain parts of the world. Perhaps it's just part and parcel of being artistic?

  5. I find myself having long periods where I don't draw or write anything, I think just because I have so many other hobbies I can't do them all at once =) I've started doing both more again since I started my 2nd blog, it kind of makes me have an "obligation" to post up something new, even if something small.

Even if you don't draw very often, you are an amazing artist!

  7. Waow your really good :) i know just what you mean about the creativity.. i do decoupage sometimes.. as you know :P but its like only a couple of weeks every year i can bother to do it.. else i just dont feel inspired. So i guess its someone that paints or do other creative stuff go through :)

and btw. i tried doing it on the nails.. wont even show the pictures.. it was not good and i dont think i will try it again haha :P

  8. I know exactly how you feel. I think with me part of it is not having a good place to work on art. When I was in college studying fine art I had studios we worked in and It was easier to draw and paint because I had the space to do it in. I think I am going to start knitting again over fall and winter though because it is relaxing and I don't need the space I do to draw. I wish I had spare rooms in my house. I would have a art/craft studio, a library and a giant closet/makeup room. :) Oh and a music room to actually learn my ukulele and guitar. That would cover many loves of mine.

  9. Nihrida you are so talented! Beautiful drawhing and shading. I wish I could draw like you. I used to draw years ago but I wasn't that good. No idea how to shade. I really just dabbled. You on the other hand really have talent. Please, please use your talent. Don't let it sit idle.

  11. It's good to hear you have so many hobbies. Normally I just sleep all day long, not doing anything. It can get really annoying. :)

Thank you, that means a lot to me! :*

  14. I already thought of having special room for drawing/painting. Maybe when I'm older. :) You gave me great idea - I'll start knitting again. I need a good purple wool scarf. :)))
