It lose a lot of subtlety and mystery over black. I prefer the ghostly floating feel it has on its own. What about you?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, but I couldn't say which one is my favourite. I like the depth when layered over black, but I also like the ghostly (like you said) feel that it has by itself. I just can't say... :)
ReplyDeletei like this one... waaaaaaaaaa... i like both..hehehhee...
ReplyDeleteTry layering it over a vampy purple like S-he 464, that might give it the depth and keep the purple tone. Or it might not. lol
ReplyDeleteOMG! This is one of the best comments ever. You start so confident about your idea... and then ''or it might not''. OMG, I think I'm gonna wet my pants. ROFL
ReplyDeleteHaha =) I laughed =)))
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful gunmetal grey on the black, but definitely not opulent cloud anymore. How about trying it on a shade like Parlez-Vouz OPI? A greyed lavender base would maybe bring forth the purple hue in it =)
*parlez-vous. talk about speaking french!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I love it more by iteself but it does look great over black too!
ReplyDelete:) Yeah, it's not OC anymore. I don't have Parlez-Vous, but I'll try over similar shade sometime in future. Thanks for recommending it! :)
ReplyDeleteI kind of love it equally, compared to the rest of your commenters o_o. It isn't OC, but it's an entirely different sort of complex, I think. Like OC's brash younger sister. I need to try this out. :)
ReplyDeleteit looks FAB over black...
ReplyDeleteoh Nihrida you are making me become obsessed with finding Opulent Cloud!! lol my quest continues!
It looks soo cool! Personally, I couldn't really tell the difference between the two but the sheen the two gives are so different and pwetty!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting over black. It's a subtle difference. Good idea to do that.
