Risque - Azul Hortensia

I finally tried Risque nail polish. This one was chosen by my BF. Again. I'm not to happy about picking my mani colors lately and he's always glad to help me with that. =)

Azul Hortensia is a very interesting shade. It looks so bright outdoors, but indoors it looks like ChG Bermuda Breakaway (dark blue). The application was interesting as well: the formula is kind of runny and jelly-looking, but it's still pretty opaque. It must be the most weird nail polish ever. Not in a bad way, though. =) I applied 2 coats and they seemed to be enough to get the color of the polish in the bottle. When I stepped outdoors I noticed I can still see my smile line a bit. Does that mean this is jelly nail polish? I'm not used to jellies that are opaque in 2 coats. But that's a good thing, right?

If you haven't tried Risque yet, than I sincerely recommend you to try it. If you can get it, of course. There are some pretty interesting shades to chose from. ;)

Enough of the small talk, here are the pics: Risque - Azul Hortensia

Thanks for looking!

  4. Beautiful shade, just the kind I'd need right now. The exact shade that is in Finnish flag! It's our Independence Day tomorrow and I'm undecided what polish I'd use to show it on my tips... this Azul Hortensia would be the one if I owned it :)

  7. This is a brazilian brand which has beautiful colors. And this polishes cost about 2 euros or 2,50. Really cheap for the quality they have.

  10. Amazing colours, reminds me of Cote d'Azur!

It also reminds me of Wonder Woman's costume: the blue bits of it. :D

  14. You know what? It WOULD be perfect to make a finnish flag! I've never been to Finland, but I'm so fond of it. Maybe because of all the good music that comes from Finland. =) I've also met a Finnish tourist and he was so kind. I also got some of your well known sweets from black licorice. =) Finland rocks!

  20. I´m suspect to say something because I´m brazilian and Risqué is a brazilian nail polish but Azul Hortênsia is beautiful!
You should try Azulejo Português. I´m sure you´re going to love it! It´s perfect.
Try to mix two nail polishes: Azulejo Português and a white nail polish. This combination is beautiful in my opinion.
If you could get a nail polish called Azul Satin - Impala you would fall in love with it. I LOVE this color.

  21. Hi Sasha.

I'm so glad you like it.

They are not all like that one, but I think you will find that Azulejo Português is a little harder to aply because it's much more jelly than that one.

Anyway, that color looks amazing on you. Can't wait to see all the others on your nails too.

  23. You probably wont find it there but you could try.

If you want I can sell it to you or we could do a swap like I did with Sasha.

  26. Hi
Great blog! I'm brazilian and grew up using this brand. Very good, but if you have the change to get a hold of "Colorama", it is a better quality. Brazilian brands are very boring in colors, probably because the whole colorful fever is not there yet. This hydrandea blue (translation) color is one of the few nice bright colors they offer at the moment

  27. Opa... Vou entrar no meio da conversa =D
Flavia, você ainda mora no BR?? Você viu a (agora velha) coleção da Impala, Balneários??

  28. That's a beautiful shade on you. Your BF has nice taste.

  29. Oi!
Nao moro no BR. Mas sempre dou uma olhadinha no site da unhabonita, elas sempre falam dos lancamentos nacionais e fazem reviews e swatches. Beijos!
