I'm sad.

My heart aches. I don't know why. This depression is killing me sometimes. I don't want your simpathy, dear reader. I don't want anything... I'm just writing it, because I've heard that it helps from time to time. I found out that when I'm down, that's when I have my ''creative'' moments.

Which reminds me: I made this drawing of a postcard whilst talking to my sister and crying my eyes out. The dark times of summer 2007 ...

Maybe I should go sit under umbrella for a while. I'll soon be all better...I just have to turn on my sarcasm. And you, dear reader, you will know better for the next time - to avoid this kind of posts. I know it's ''unprofessional'' of me to write this junk (I know you're all expecting nail polish pics, right), but I'm a very emotinal girl. So don't take it to hard on me, OK? OK.

Now I'm done. Fortes fortuna adiuvat.

Blue Tie Dye + Tutorial

Here's a new look for you all: tie dye nails! :) I added a tutorial too. Hope you'll like it.

For the light/dark blue tie dye I used China Glaze Aqua Baby & Bermuda Breakaway. I made the lines with a thin brush.

Drag (queens) & Slaves

My NOTD is Color Club What a Drag (I always want to add the word ''queen'' at the end). It's one of the most blingtastic nail polishes I own. These are 2 coats and I'm sad to say that it's not the most durable polish. I was washing the dishes (with gloves on!!!) and it just peeled off from one nail. Whatever.

My slave bracelet. FYI: don't want to have a slave, don't want to be one ... just like the design of the bracelet.

Aishila is always following me around. Even when I go out to take pictures ... always behind me. :)

Posing for all of you, my lovely readers. She likes to rub her chin on hot asphalt. What's that all about?! Aaaaaargh, it's a hard cat's life! :D

DIY Jewellery Stand

Guess what ... I made myself a brand new jewellery stand. I don't own a lot of ''bling-bling'', but that, that I have, I wear on everyday basis. I came to the conclusion that jewellery box isn't the best solution. I needed something to see my entire collection at once.

Here is my new ''do it yourself'' jewellery stand:

For those who are interested how it's made:
1) I cut the upper part of a plastic bottle and stuff the bottle with paper (to give it some weight). Then I sealed the hole with a duct tape.
2) I made holes in the bottle with a nail (not my finger nail!! - with an iron nail) and put wooden sticks in the holes.
3) Then I covered the whole surface with PVA glue and added some toillet paper on the glue.
4) When the glue dried I painted the whole thing with black acrylic color. After the first layer of color dried, I dipped a sponge into green acrylic color and tapped the surface (then repeated with grey color).
5) I sprayed some matte lacquer over the whole thing (for protection) and that's it! :D

This is what it looks like with my bling-bling:

Antique Manicure Tutorial

It's cloudy and it's raining. I had nothing to do, soooo ... I made another video tutorial. :) This one is for Antique Egyptian Gold post. Hope you like it.

The colors used in this video reminded me of something. I took a picture of a ''friendly'' looking grasshopper which got in my room... I like animals, but I don't want to see these in my room. Don't worry though, I took it outside after the photoshoot. :)

Serviette Decoupage Manicure - Video Tutorial

I made a video tutorial on serviette decoupage technique for nails, for all of you who were asking me how to do this manicure. :) Please, let me know if you'd like me to post any other tutorials. My memory is failing me...

Black & White (with Kitties)

I got my kitty earrings a few days ago. I had to match the manicure with them. Of course. :) Today I went all black & white, all the way.

Base color: Color Club Where's the Soiree (creme black)
Pattern color: Color Club French Tip (konad IP M73)

With my earrings. These are childish, but I love them anyway.

I've had black/white cats for as long as I can remember. I guess it runs in our kitten family. :) This is Aishila who's all better now and is already slapping our chihuahuas.

And this is Lordi. He's not with us anymore... He was a great cat.

A Basterd's Work is Never Done

Once upon a time in Nazi occupied France ... If you need heroes, send in the basterds. :)

I love this movie so much, I decided to do Inglourious Basterds manicure. I think you'll get the idea. ;)

Base color is ManGlaze Fuggen Ugly Grey, red spatters are made with brush and acrylic colors.

Truer, matte version.

Serviette Decoupage Manicure

Something special & not so common for today. As you already know, my sister is currently into serviette decoupage. She promised me some time age, she will also do my nails. I got tired of waiting so I decided to do them myself. Today I found the perfect serviettes for this. :)

Here we go - this is Misa Mar de Morado with pink plaid serviette. :)

Diamond Cosmetics - Don't Teal My Heart Away

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one! This is the application and quality everyone has been talking about. Pure perfection. Don't know why, but I find this one to apply much better than Oh, Tiff. The first coat is pretty opaque, but I always add another one to get that deep color. This could easily be one of my favourites.

All EU ladies who want this nail polish - you can get it HERE.

Another Failed Gradient

Here is that other gradient I was telling you about. This one is made with sponge and is even bigger failure than the last one. :/ See it for yourself.

I used the same colors as with previous gradient: China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway & Nabi Navy Blue.

Tiff & Arachnophobia

My Tiff isn't afraid of spiders. Are you? *evil laugh* :)))) Yeah, I'm losing it.

Anyway... I got new Konad image plate yesterday. It's M28 with spider, skull, unicorn... I had to try it. To see if it works. ;) It does work!

P.S.: Middle photo shows best what color Oh, Tiff actually is. It's green, not blue.

Diamond Cosmetics

Woooohoooo! I got mail!! I was really surprised to see that I got this package from BoozyShop. I ordered last thursday so the shipping is super fast. Actually, it's the fastest shipping ever. :) Because of that, I have to give BoozyShop some extra points.

Apart from that, I think they are the only store that carries Diamond Cosmetics nail polishes in Europe. And their customer service is beyond words. I can't say anything else, but to recommend it to all of EU girls. Click HERE to see their online store.

P.S.: They will also get new DC matte nail polishes in the begining of september. Yay!!

This was my first purchase of Diamond Cosmetics polishes. That's why I only ordered two shades (my lemmings from the first time I saw them).

Oh, Tiff on the left & Don't Teal My Heart Away on right:

Although I loved my previous manicure, it had to go. :) I decided to give Oh, Tiff a try. It's a three coater (thin coats) and I like it. Very much!
