China Glaze - Strawberry Fields + Ring

I was admiring ChG Strawberry Fields on every photo I saw. And I don't even like shimmery nail polishes. But this one was different. Such a beauty and it seemed it looks goon on just about anyone. =)

I finally got it! And of course tried it on. And you know what? I don't like how it looks on me. On photos, it's beautiful (even on mine) but on hands it's too shimmery and not pink enough. :/ I never thought I'm gonna say this, but I don't like it. And there's another one coming my way. The application was OK and these are 2 coats.

I was so excited to get this one, I even made a ring with Strawberry Fields as a base and black konad pattern. What do you think?

Thanks for looking!

  7. I like it, especially this golden shimmer in it and it does look good on you. When I saw this post, I just had to look it up for a song called Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles :) And the ring is gorgeus.

  9. I own strawberry fields, too, and I know what you feel about it. But it grew on me. Maybe you should stamp something on it! Oh, and how did you make that gorgeous ring? Just painted over plain black plastic ring with strawberry fields? I love it soo much!

  30. That ring is so cool! And I think the SF is pretty, but you're right, it could be pinker (is that a word?) Maybe franken it a little? I wish I'd known just a little bit sooner lol and I would have just returned the SF and got you a different color :( My timing sucks :(

I was always tempted to buy Strawberry Fields but I didn't.
I have got a red with golden shimmer polish that I like very much in the bottle but not on my nails. Perhaps that was the main reason for not buying it. But , now, looking at your swatches, the temptation has come back! Despite your comments, I was never so tempted to buy it! I honestly don't know what to do!

  45. Hi Nihrida, I just want to say that I first saw your gorgeous nails on the Nail Gal Gallery and I was so impressed. You are one talented chica!!! Your application & nails are ALWAYS purrfection! Sorry I know I'm acting like a star struck fan but I guess I am! I don't get overly impressed too often but you just amaze me. As far as this shade goes, I loved it since the first time I saw it. I'm a pink & purple FREAK. Which is unusual cuz I'm really into gothic culture but I can't help it. Pink just moves me you know? I usually HATE gold but for some reason I ADORE this shade. I don't think it makes your hands look old LOL! I think it's just totally amazing on you w/your pale skin (like me!) The ring is too die for, I would pay a lot of $$$ to own it! Just name your price, I really love it. Don't know if you made a tut for it yet but that's my next move, hoping you did! Although I'm sure I couldn't do it as good. I'm a bit anal & perfectionisty, ha new word, so it might come out good but I don't know. I haven't gotten the hang of stamping too good but also haven't had time to really practice it yet (on my long list) ::sigh:: Sorry for the super LONG post & you might not even see it cuz it's from last year but I just had to gush over you & let you know that there's a girl out there who is head over heels in girl crush, admiration, respect...awe...etc over you! ::blush:: Hope I'm not offensive! I'm sure I seem quite silly at this point so I will stop! Thank you for having the best nails, blog, talents, etc in nail history, oh jewelry making & makeup too! Hugs from the US. (PS-I LOVE ebay too!) xXx...Sorrow
