DIY Ring Tutorial

I promised to tell you how I made this ring HERE. I didn't take any photos while I was doing it and I didn't feel like getting my hands all dirty again. So here's a very rough tutorial. Hope it will help you nonetheless.

First you'll need a modeling material. I used some sort of man-made clay which hardens on air (you don't have to bake it).

I used the same method as we use it when making cookies: I rolled out the clay on a plastic surface to approximately 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thick and cut out the circles (with lip balm cap). =)

I put the circles on flat surface and waited for them to dry (I just left them on a piece of paper on the radiator for one night). Once they're dry smoothen them with emery paper. Now they're ready to color! Use different colors and designs and don't forget to put a layer of clear polish on it when you're done.

Oh, yeah. You're also gonna need blank rings. You can buy these on Ebay. Or in craft stores.

Attach the circles to the blank rings - with nail glue! =)

Oh, I wouldn't wear this kind of ring under the shower... ;)

Thanks for looking!
