NOT a Review: New Moon rant

It says in my profile ... I'm a vampire junkie. Can't help it. I've always been fascinated with the creatures of the night and blood.

I watched second part of the Twilight trilogy New Moon early this morning (2AM). And this movie is BAD...

I dig vampires, I really do. That's the only reason why I watched this one. I won't say why it sucks so much as a movie, I'm just gonna tell you how bad it's influence was on me. I started crying at the beginning of the movie (after the ''talk in the forest'' scene). It reminded me so much of me few years ago... Sitting in my room for two months, doing nothing, waiting for him to come back. All the bad dreams... Relationship with that much drama can't end good. I started to lead a wild life, with promiscuous relationships. Only the rush was keeping me alive, making me *feel* alive. I'm in total depression again. And the fact I forgot to take my AD pills yesterday doesn't really help. I'm SO broken-hearted. And this move caused it. Go figure.

OK, I just wanted to let you know... I'm in a dark tunnel right now. Time to turn on the sarcasm.

Isn't it funny. A movie so bad and all these emotions came back... *grinning though tear* This isn't even a movie. This is just a foreplay, an intermezzo between the first and the 3rd part that's yet to come. Nothing is happening! If we count out the camera shaking whenever the wolves appear. What's with that? And all the running. I haven't seen this much running in a movie since Forest Gump. Run, bit*h, ruuuuun!

A tip: Don't look directly at Jacob's teeth. Those shinning things can blind you! You can look at the body though. =)

video

Oh, yeah! =)

And while we're at it, Edward, please keep your shirt ON. Please! For the love of God (and I'm on team Edward). BTW: Is it just me or is he getting shinier and shinier? I'm worried he'll blow up from all the sparkle.

But there's something good too. I loved the appearance of Dakota Fanning. She's grown into a beautiful young woman and she can act to! Unlike some... *coughs*

Anyway... This must be one of the most romantic pedophiliac movies, but still: 100 years old man catches himself a teenager, what in the world could be more wrong? And for the record. I need to get me that dream catcher.

Hope no one was offended by this rant. I need to get it out.

Thanks for looking!

I have been in that place too...
I guess that is one of the things about getting your heart broken, I can't wait to find the person that can appreciated me for me. I guess we all need to have a little bit of faith!

  3. No offense, I find myself agreeing with everything you said about the movie =) Although I am a werewolf fan also so I was still able to enjoy it. Thankfully Eclipse is scheduled for I think June. That ought to have plenty of vampires - not just Bella's hallucinations - and plenty of real action too.

My own painful parting of ways is also few years behind me now, thankfully, but I agree that a relationship full of drama is destined to have an equally dramatic ending. I still run into things that remind me & then bring me down.

Oh, PS - Rant anytime you like =) We'll listen.

  4. *hugs* I totally understand what you are saying, it's horrible when movies bring out emotions like that, even worse when the movie sucks! X

Saj bo, saj bo... pozabi preteklost in glej naprej...

Drugace se pa strinjam, Edward si ne bi sploh smel sleci majice (wtf je tista wanna be suma tam?!), sem pa tudi jaz team Edward,... Jacob pa... rawr tisti telescek, rawrrrr.... *hot hot*!!

Hheeh 100 leten dec pa najstnica.. haha you're so right, ampak ves to so vampirji.. :PP Nima nic veze s pedofilijo, razen tega da je ocitno pisateljica nagjena na to stran..

  6. There are also quite a few other series (books&Tv) that made it into the screens right before or even a long time ago.
The other two that really make me excited besides the twilight series ^^) are the Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris (aka. True Blood on TV) and The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith.

  7. sending a big hug. I hate when movies do that to you. Its even worse when the acting is bad and the only hot guy makes me feel like a dirty old cougar.

  8. The big thing I don't get with these movies is how exactly Edward could stand Bella. He's been alive for 100+ years or whatever, which means that he's done it all, seen it all, read and learned it all, isn't he just bored silly? Bella is a "completely average", i.e, kinda stupid, teenage girl. I can't imagine the wonderful conversations they shared about art, philosophy, literature, etc. Anne Rice at least got that much right, her vampires were well-educated, and IMO, much more interesting.

  9. Sending you a big hug and a lot of positive energy! I hope that tunnel is going to be very short... with a bright light... :*
I totally agree with everything you wrote about the movie. I loved the first one. I dreamt about it, I heard dialogues in my head for a few days after I watched it... but New Moon... nothing... I have to read the books... Great NOT a review. ;)

  10. You don't like the 100 year old falling in love with a teenager... have you read the fourth book?! That thing was nuts, I hate Twilight, and what's more I can't stand Robert Pattison. I saw the first Twilight with a good friend at a $2 showing, and thank God I didn't waste more money than that.

  11. I hardly ever admit it to people (for fear of aghast stares and 'why not?' questions) but I can't STAND the movie Twilight... so I haven't bothered with the following one... Bad acting. Lots of staring. Where is all the chemistry that people are going on about? And what's worse, is that my nick on mIRC for YEARS was Twilight (based on the sky/dusk etc). Then I had to think of an alternative nickname to use because I didn't want to be associated with the movie - heh! Anyhow, pain sucks. Depression sucks. *hugs*.

  13. Thanks, Claudia! It sucks to be such a sensitive person.

  14. Thanks! Well, I didn't hate the movie... I can't hate it. It IS about vampires, but it could be a lot better.

  15. Oh how I agree with ''not just Bella's hallucinations''. I was fed up with that. And thanks! :*

  16. Hvala, Tamara! =) Ampak Jacob se je pa ''napihnil''.

  17. You know what? I can't stand to watch true blood. =) My BF watches every episode, but it's just crap to me.

  18. =)) Dirty old cougar. LOL Thanks for making me feel better.

  19. Exactly!! Well said.

  20. Thank you, Maestra! I'm gonna be fine, I just need to let it out.

  21. There's a fourth book?! *is ashamed for ignorance* You know what. If Robert Pattison was a real vampire, I'd let him bit me. I can't help it. If a man is a vampire, he can be as ugly as a sin...but I'd still fancy him. =)

  22. Haha, kok sm se nasmejala temu tvojmu sarkazmu. Film je res bedn, mene je totalno razočaral, upam da bo tretji del bolj upravičil ves ta medijski bum + da izpopolnijo te svoje "igralske" sposobnosti.
Ponosno sem team Jacob, odkar laufa naokoli brez majice me Edward sploh več ne gane. :D
    Drži se *objem*

  24. Oh dear... I have never met you in real life, but I can see that you are such a nice person - kind, creative, a very cute girl! I"ve expirienced this before, so I understand such feelings. I really hope the situation will change soon, because such a cutie really deserves a sweeter life. There is such a proverb: if one wants to remember something, he should try hard to forget this. So just try to catch every sweet moment, even if there is very few now, and after some time the pain will just go away. I believe that all the hugs from your readers will make you cheer up. I also add one =) just look, how many people like you!

  25. Oh, thank you so much, Christabella! It means the world to me...every hug I get. I'll be better. =) Thank you!

  26. Mehh I totally get you, I found New Moon to be depressing as hell too. And indeed, it was poorly made, I was so in love with the first movie, but this was nothing like it. :-(
And I'm team Edward too, but please no more nekkidness please! :')

    Big hugs to you!

  27. Thank god you didn't like this movie. I would be disappointed if you liked it, muahahh!
Although True blood is a great serie just as 6 feet under. It's the same director, i think.
Get well soon! The sidewalk is pretty, but the sky is much more pretty, so... look up! ;) kiss

  28. I never saw 1 and won't see 2 or 3 either, I browsed through friend's first book and thought it was crap, so, I pass :D

  29. Awww **hugs** **hugs** and more **hugs** to you! And I also agree with your entire post by the way! I like the twilight series as books but as movies they are disappointing so far..the action is coming up so hopefully these next movies will be better! **crosses fingers**

  30. I find just having it be Winter is depressing enough. I need the bright sunlight and warmer air. All the grey days make me feel like that. I'll add my (((hugs & kisses))) to the rest of the posts. A movie often times does bring out strong feelings in you. I haven't seen the new movie. I have to wait till it's on DVD. I haven't read the books either. I did read the first and I think my imagination is so much better. Still I did enjoy the movie. Anne Rice was the best writer of vampire fiction. Try not to dwell on the bad part of your relationship and remember the good parts of it. It was all a learning experience. You'll find someone who is as special and sweet as you are. You deserve much happiness. Love ya sweetie.

  35. I haven't watched the film nor read the book. I guess I'm not missing out on anything! LOL.

I know words alone won't bring you relief from the pains. So I'll just share some words that keep me straight when I'm feeling down. :D My wise mum once said that ups and downs in life are what make life interesting, a life without them will be a boring-flat life. Someone I know also like to say that "What doesn't kill you will make you strong." Hope you're feeling much better soon! :)

Your comments about the movie made me laugh a lot!
    You made my day!

  37. I've been there too. I pined over a guy for years, getting back with him, getting treated like crap, and breaking up over & over again. Thank god he finally broke my heart bad enough to where I don't love him anymore, lol...

I'm 100% Team Jacob & New Moon(the book AND the movie) really pissed me off. Though the movie is a good dose of shirtless Jacob(no, I don't care that he's only like 17, I'll ogle him till the day I die). It's very frustrating to watch. Edward just dumps Bella "for her own good", and Jacob picks her up, dusts her off, and makes her feel alive again, and then the idiot just runs back to Edward the first chance he gets. AAAARGH. I almost didn't read the last 2 books after that. Oh well, there's always fan fiction :)

Personally I don't like Bella very much. She's stupid for not choosing Jake, and she's dull & emotionless. Kristen Stewart is pretty, but she's kind of a boring actress. She has like 2 facial expressions...

  38. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks! =)
