CND Ruffian Mani

You can see this look everywhere. =)

I used ManGlaze Matte is Murder, China Glaze 2030 and paper reinforcements.

I can only say: it's not easy to achieve this look. Well, the procedure is not complicated, but for it to look good... Let's just say I failed.

This is what it looks like:

It does look better IRL though: you don't put your face so close to the nails and you can't see the wrinkled line... What do you think?

Thanks for looking!

  2. for me, it is still lovely..tho it could have been lovelier if the gold edges were "cleaner/bolder"-can't find the right words,haha.. :) but then honeslty, it is still nice.. if there's no CND model to compare with, I'd never think of anything but pure admiration.. :)

  3. =) I know what you mean. I wanted to make the edges cleaner, but that just wasn't possible. I'm not really good at this. =) Thank you, Karla!

  8. this is perfect - - - - it's beautiful and the colors and polish finish you chose work well together - getting a 'crisp line' is difficult, dont be so hard on yourself♥

  14. I like it. This is diffcult to achieve. I am waiting for some foils before I dare do this look. I'll swatch it as soon as I get them. (If it comes out alright. I simply LOVEloveLOVE this look! Well done, Nihrida. :D

  15. Well, your nail beds are long enough, so it does look cool. And about the line - ain"t there a way to correct it? Maybe an orange stick and polish remover can help...

  21. Use reinforcements or those templates for french mani. It's way easier than hand drawing it.

  27. Love it! Such an interesting combination of finishes. I tried to do a funky french the other day, using decorators low tack masking tape as a guide. It was a major fail though, it was hard laying the tape smoothly on a curved surface and it all seeped underneath and went messy. Took me ages to do and I removed it instantly! You did a great job!

  28. just like you would apply nail polish, only to end in the middle instead of near the cuticle =) then I cleaned up with a brush afterwards.
