Matte Comparison: Essie VS ManGlaze pt. II

Base: Angie's Frankenpolish
Pattern: Wet n Wild Black Creme (konad IP M63)
Top Coat: Essie Matte About You/ManGlaze Matte-Astrophe

I wanted to see how good are these top coats over fresh konadicure. No other top coat was applied.
Essie: smudged the pattern on the first nail, perfect application on the second nail
ManGlaze: cracked patterns on both nails

Conclusion: Essie is a wonderful matte top coat. It does what it's made to do. ManGlaze on the other hand adds it's own twist to it - it is for bad girls only. =) BTW: Have you seen another ''bad girl'' Feline's mani with ManGlaze? It's here. Do you dare to wear ManGlaze? Think you can handle it? =D

Thanks for looking!

oooo I like this! Like the black against the neon green. I must get my hands on a matte topcoat, hopefully before the trend dies out :) x

The konadicure is almost exactly like my favorite skirt from back in the day (1987) so I love it!
I agree Man Glaze is the darker side of matte...or matte to the extreme!

  7. It reminds me of some of my favorite 80's items as well. Socks, bangles...why do u think the manglaze made it crack?

  13. I wish i could buy a matte top coat in my country. I just can't find any.
Oh, and i was wondering what top coats are your favourites for konadicure. I've tried LOTS of nail polishes and so far i've found only two that don't smudge my nails; Maybelline and Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri.

  15. Great konad design!
Funny how one top coat smudges and how the other one leaves a trail of cracks, lol. Think I'm liking Essie over Manglaze this time :-)

  18. I use regular cheap top coat from the drugstore. The most important thing, if you don't want to smear the pattern, is to have enough top coat on your brush and no to drag it across the nail too much.

  19. ManGlaze is supposed to crack nail polish when applied to fresh manicure.

  20. Love the houndstooth pattern. I have a few matte topcoats. No need for the ManGlaze. It's too expensive for the same type of product.
