Evil Angel

I have to apologize to everyone that were offended by my previous 2 posts. It seems to me that I must only write about positive things. People, you get offended way to easily! My citique started because of the G+L shipping policy (and now I have another reader to prove what I said is true) and then it became personal. This drama you're making of my post is making me feel bad. That's my way of saying things... you're welcome to have your own opinion and feel free to write it down in the comments, but please, watch your ''tone''. ;)

And about All Lacquered Up, as I said, sorry but you took it way to personally. I linked to your blog for the reason of proving that they have been sending polishes international. Nothing else.
I love your blog and your swatches. I don't care what's your way of dealing with this...I don't care if you're doing it for hobby, for money... what ever. I never thought you read my blog. It actually quite sad that you never commented on anything and you decided to write on this post... I guess that people DO concentrate on the negative. Sorry if I offended you!

So, people! Do I have to make my blog ''invite only'' or what? I guess I have to write somewhere in big & bold - THIS IS MY OPINION!
Drama, drama, drama... Anyway. I got a great package from my girl Andrea aka Evil Angel. I got Gumdrop (and I love it!), China Glaze Sunset Glow and she also added a franken made by her. I named it Evil Angel. =)

This ChG is for my sister. See how gorgeous it is? WOW!

This franken (Evil Angel) is perfect! Totally opaque in one coat and looks VERY similar to OPI Midnight in Moscow. Beautiful! Thank you, Andrea! :*

Thanks for looking!

  1. That China Glaze one looks fantastic. And the "Evil Angel" polish is something I'd wear. I think I have to get the OPI one to get the look :D

  2. I see the nails have grown a bit, they're sooo beautiful! :)
Can't wait to see a comparison between gumdrop (which I am planning to get) and other mints, when you find time :)
It's so sad people comment on stuff they don't like only. I tend to comment just when I am really amazed, I think that's fair, and I do comment a lot here, in fact this is maybe the only blog where I bother to comment at all :)
I am sorry some people take stuff so personally. I like critics and think they're here to make us think more but some things aren't even critics and some people take everything as critics - I knew someone like that and it was like living constantly under pressure - if you said her mascara was a bit smudged, that was like, you were jealous of her! LOL.
Anyway, great gifts and again, I am sorry for the crap you have to bear from some people - if the blog ever becomes invite only, I hope you'll invite me ;)

Geez, people get so upset over nothing. I am really excited to try some DC polishes :) My polish collection has been growing rapidly since I started reading all these nail blogs! Your wishlist on the side is like how big mine is, lol

  4. Don't let people and their drama and negative attitudes change how you do things on YOUR blog! If they don't like it they aren't forced to read it!

The franken looks prfect on you!

  5. Just wanted to let you know you have my whole hearted support in this matter....you can say what you like on your own blog....after all you only asked the question and you are entitled to your opinion. Others who take this way too seriously really need to get a life....it's only nail polish after all. xx

  6. :/
i totally agree with you on this, some people just take things way to seriously and need to lighten up.

anyway, OMG i think my eyes popped out of their sockets when i saw "sunset glow!" i've never seen that china glaze in my life! so freakin' pretty!

  7. It's a blog. You can say what you like. We can say what we like. I like to think we're all big enough to dish it out and take it respectfully and thoughtfully.
I'd encourage you to keep it open. I know that means that you put yourself in a position to be shot down in flames but you get the praise and recognition too. Look how you have helped LunatiKitty! Without you she wouldn't have got all those new followers that she well deserves.
Everyone should keep doing what they do and we all have to account to ourselves and search our own conscience for what we do and say.

  10. I say, write about what you want! I don't think there was anything wrong with what you said and truth be told- you are probably right. I don't think that ALU should have used your post to write such a rude comment- people will have opinions and there is nothing you can do about that- so why resort the being rude?

  11. Andrea made you a perfect franken right there and it looks wonderful on you!

I'm sorry people are making you feel bad, but don't let them, you have more than enough regular readers who comment on a normal basis that love you just the way you are and you dont need to change your blog for anyone!

  12. Oh, I want, want, want that China Glaze too :D

  13. I think everyone and EVERYBODY is entitled to their own opinion. I honestly don't think you needed to apologize for anything. You stated your opinion, and showed that there are cheaper alternatives than spending $12 on a nail polish that is literally identical. It was unfair to you that she took it so personal. I didn't even see anything you said that should have offended her. You only stated that the company ships internationally, that is all. Maybe she did take it the wrong way, like you I'm one of her readers that loves her blog and her blog is the go to blog to see swatches whether or not you want to buy a nail polish. But with an attitude like that, I don't know.. That's just MY opinion.

  14. its ur own blog so u can say whatever u want.. it's up to other people if they might misunderstood what u're writing about...

I have to agree that franken is very much like MIM, one of my personal faves. It's very pretty on you. As for the last couple of posts, I just got out the popcorn and watched...those comment threads never end well, but hey, moving on now.

  17. People should know that when you write something its your opinion and if they don't, its their problem not yours. I am happy that some can say something out honestly for once :) Not everything about polishes is OW THAT IT BEAUTIFUL and such ;)

  18. i can't believe what people are saying, don't listen to them or their drama...i love you blog, you seem like a really sweet and kind girl, don't feel bad about rude comments, they are just not worth it...
    :)

  19. You did nothing wrong. As far as I'm concerned you do not owe anyone an apology for writing YOUR opinion on YOUR blog. I understand there are people who can't splash out on expensive polishes and pointing out potential dupes that are far cheaper is doing everybody a great service. Keep up the good work. :)l

  20. Ta zadnji lak za nohte je perfect :)

  21. those polishes are gorgeous!! Evil Angel did an awesome job!!

As for the other stuff, it is your blog, a place to express your thoughts!! Say whatever you want!! I have not taken offense to anything you have ever posted, but if it bothered me, I just wouldn't read that post, and move on to your next one... I enjoy reading your posts everyday (I may not always comment..) so please continue to do it the way you want!!

  22. You shouldn't need to apologize for posting your opinion, just as I'm not going to apologize for "poking the bear" and saying she was biased in her blogging. I've said my piece and I'm not interested in her starting a war with anyone.

I love reading your blog because you tell us, AND show us, the real deal! Never stop being who you are :)

  23. The Franken is Awesome! And OMG! I don't think I have ever seen that CG color.I hope your sister wont mind you swatching it, or maybe your sister would make a guest appearance with it?

  24. I second that!! Hats off to Evil on the Frankie! Looks amazing!

  25. Hey, your blog, your right to state your opinion. People don't exactly get 'offended', they just love drama, that's it, don't bother abt them =)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Don't let what other people say stop you from writing what you want to write about. It IS YOUR blog! YOU are entitled to write about WHATEVER you desire to write about. If other people have a problem with that, they can simply close the window!

I'm LOVING that China Glaze one, its gorgeous!

    ReplyDelete
  27. That's a gorgeous franken! And I agree with other posters, it is your blog and you have a right to say what you want. There will always be people that disagree with what others say no matter what.

    Eh ljudje.
    Drzi se! *

    Hi Nihrida!
I've been following your blog for sometime now. I never comment on any blog that I read simply because I'm a student and everytime I read a blog, it's because I should be doing something else ie. my work. I read bloggers, see their heartwarming pictures, smile for a while and zap! I've to go off to do my work. I'm writing in here because I want you to know that you do or say nothing wrong when you write anything negative. It has always been my policy that you learn more from criticism. What do readers learn from over-the-top praises about polishes? Nothing at all.
I also feel that I should mention (as some others have alluded to) that this is not the first time someone has taken offence with something ALU said. It is never always about the content, people can easily detect a certain tone in writing. That is why we look towards a pleasant blogger and not necessarily an expert one.

  31. I thought is was evident that a "blog" was an "opinion"..people need to lighten up..if they don't like what you say, then they should stop reading it, and if they are really offended they should email you privately..but not publicly on the blog. I love your blog, and I love your nails, keep up the great work!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Gosh, don't read this blog if your afraid of someone having an opinion. As others have said that this is your own personal blog with your own opinion. If you can't take a gorgeous woman having her own opinion then don't read. Love the franken on you. It's such a beautiful shade.

Keep smilin' and swatchin' don't worry about the drama.

  34. Hey girl, I don't think you did or said anything wrong. It appears that ALU got her panties in a twist because of something that someone else said. However, I am a bit confused about her post. If all US np is made by one manufacturer, it wouldn't matter if it shipped from FL or NC, right? It could still be from the same manufacturer, but a different distributor. I don't see what all the fuss it about. DC makes great np and I'm not going to pay $10 more per bottle for stuff that is very similar, if not identical. Keep up the good work!

    ReplyDelete
  35. No, don't stop saying what you think and don't stop posting about "negative" things. Like I said in that post, not everything is happy and perfect. Just best to drop all this drama and let it drift out of people's minds. We love you the way you are!

  36. With this post being over two years old, I'm sure someone has mentioned it - but the franken looks like the Sally Hansen Lacquer Shine Glossy. That's the bottle shape and cap color, and the original Glossy is considered a dupe for MIM. I was just curious if she started with Glossy as a base and then lightened it a bit.
