Eyeko Nail Polish

I'm sure you all know Eyeko. If not by their products, you most certainly can remember them by their packaging. Aren't these nail polish bottles cute?

Nude Polish is a salmon color with almost invisible shimmer. I wouldn't call this color ''nude'', but it's quite nice. I would love it to be a little bit more on the cool side though.
The application was tricky. The polish is kind of goopy and would need a couple of drops of thinner, but as I don't thin any nail polish before review, I didn't thin this one either. It was almost impossible to apply a thin coat of this one. And it needs 3 layers of it to become somewhat opaque and I can still see my nail line. You know what that means - long drying time and the danger of dents (if you're not using SV or something similar)... Not to crazy about this one.

Lilac Polish is what the name says. It a lilac creme, that makes your nails extra lovely. The formula was better than with the Nude Polish. I didn't have any special troubles with application, but it still needed 3 coats to be opaque. Great color, OK formula: worth trying.

Vintage Polish is a mint creme. Oh, WOW! I love this color. It reminds me of a lot of other colors I own, so remind me to make a comparison post!
I didn't like the application. Goopy formula, 3 coats and still visible nail line. The color might be beautiful enough to be worth all the trouble. IF there weren't so many possible dupes.

The polish is not *that* bad. I'm just used of colors that are completely opaque in 2 coats and my expectations got a bit too high. I must say that the formula did improve, but not too much. I like the bottles though. It's much easier to work with this cap than with previous ones.
To be completely honest: I wouldn't buy these. The price is too high for the quality you're getting. But if you're still thinking of getting these, you can buy them HERE.

If you have any questions about these polishes, feel free to aks me in the comments section.
These polishes were sent to me for review and I wrote an honest opinion.

Thanks for looking!

  8. I already ordered them! But they are cheap in the UK so I'm fine about it. I even like the nude. And there's a purple in the set I am getting that looks good. And the bottles are cute.

  9. I'd just like to say that I love your honesty! I think many bloggers feel obligated to give good reviews of (bad) products they were sent so they will keep getting things. I think it's great that you care enough about your readers not to trick them into buying a shitty product. Thank you!

  10. the bottles are pretty but i think i will skip that trend - heard simmilar statements about the formula, and the colors are not special enough to justify any application problems i think.

  13. All three shades look great. Too bad that the formula on these isn't good. There are a lot of good mint shades or lilac shades or even nude shades out there. For even less money and with better application. Thanks for the review and swatches. ;)

  14. Loving the colours especially the mint green and nude. But if the formula is not that good, may just stick to other makes. Thanks for the review and swatches.

  16. Love the lilac and the green. Thanks for letting us know what the quality is like. I'll give these a pass. I don't care for the first one much. Darn those other two are gorgeous. I'll be waiting for your comparisons.
