Illamasqua - Liquid Metal Palette

Finally - the last Illamasqua goodie: Liquid Metal Palette.

''Indulge in a myriad of metallic shades and gild your work of art. Each Liquid Metal is amazingly rich and highly pigmented, giving you the power to dazzle and delight at will.
Use to adorn eyes, face and body, and apply with fingers or a brush. Now is your time to shine.''

Ingredients: Paraffinum Liquidum, Paraffin, Candelilla Cera, Petrolatum, Tocopherol, Cera Carnauba, Hexyl Laurate, Cera Alba, Cetyl Palmitate, Lanolin alcohol, Propylene Glycol, BHT, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Glyceryl Stearate, Citric Acid, Parfum. May contain: Bronze Powder, Copper Powder, Aluminium Powder, Tin Oxide, Aluminum Hydroxide, Mica.

I love the look of these. Rich metallic shades have always been my weakness. These liquid metals are really as pigmented, soft and shiny as the package says. I even made my alter ego make up with them. =D This is a great product, but it also has a big flaw: it creases like crazy. Too bad...

Do you have any suggestions on how to use these so they wouldn't crease as much?

Thanks for looking!

  2. Creamy shadows like this make great bases! If you layer a similar coloured powder shadow over it, it would look really vibrant and pretty. :)

I would say using them as a base is your best option

  5. Love liquid metals! *-* I've got solstice and the silver one =)
I think you could use a base or apply a white eyeshadow and then apply the metals over it. They can be used also as eyeliners as they're very creamy =)

  6. I use them over eyeshadow as a liner or inner eye highlighter. Or the bronze one I use as.... bronzer.

Using them over primer and powder eyeshadow helps them to set, but they do melt when applied direct to your body if you don't layer something between them and your skin.

  8. I love metallics also. I also would suggest using them as a base. Would really look amazing. I wonder how they would look with black eye shadow on top?
