Japanese Koi VS Koo Koo Cachoo

I recently won the Charming Nails contest and got this Color Club Koo Koo Cachoo nail polish as a prize (among other polishes). I thought it would be fun to compare it to China Glaze Japanese Koi. Yeah, it was fun for me, but not for my camera. It seriously considered of dying on me.

Bottle pics:

These photos aren't accurate at all. Both polishes are way brigther and more neon looking in real life. Color Club is more true orange neon while China Glaze has more red in it.

They both applied great! Opaque in one coat, but needed 2 for the depth. You can still see my nail line, but that's usually the case with neons. Unless you bother to apply nude/white nail polish under it. I only used Nailtek base coat.
Another difference between these two is the formula. Color Club is creme, China Glaze has jelly like qualities, but it's very opaque. I can't pick my favorite. They're enough different to own both, if you're a neon lover, of course. Most important: the quality of these two bright babies knocked my socks off. Well done, Color Club & China Glaze!

Gaia was so cute sleeping that I just had to take a photo of her. Don't you just wanna take her in your arms and snuggle?

Thanks for looking!

  7. Thanks for the tip on applying nude or white polish under neon colors. I've got a couple and some of them (specially the Essie ones) are hard to work with.
