Little Visitor

Look who decided to visit. It's a little Green Lizard also known as European lizard (Lacerta viridis).

Once it grows up, it'll be almost completely green and if it's male his throat will turn blue. =) I already sent out the information about my finding to the Reptiles of Slovenia project site. Hopefully I did something useful.

Thanks for looking!

  10. At first I thought it's a little Sand Lizard (Lacerta Agilis) and I wanted to pick it up. But then I saw his loooooong tail and didn't have the nads to do it. XD
I think he's cute, but it kind of freaks me out to see it so close to the house (I've never seen it here at our house before).

  11. Maybe because it's still young. It'll grow up and be all green. And blue (if he's male).

  14. Yep, ''dazdevnjak'' is salamander in english. =) I was always kind of scared of salamanders. Every time I'd go to forest to pick mushrooms, I'd see one. Starring at me. *shivers* XD But I had an interesting class on my faculty and I had a close encounter with it. It was so funny to hold it in my hand. He was really cute actually. =)
