Once it grows up, it'll be almost completely green and if it's male his throat will turn blue. =) I already sent out the information about my finding to the Reptiles of Slovenia project site. Hopefully I did something useful.

Thanks for looking!

I wish I knew how to trasnalte "dazdevnjak" - maybe salamander? like that shoe brand? :))

ReplyDeleteXD
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought it's a little Sand Lizard (Lacerta Agilis) and I wanted to pick it up. But then I saw his loooooong tail and didn't have the nads to do it. XD
ReplyDeleteI think he's cute, but it kind of freaks me out to see it so close to the house (I've never seen it here at our house before).
Maybe because it's still young. It'll grow up and be all green. And blue (if he's male).
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of newts, to be totally honest. =)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to get such positive responses to this... =D
ReplyDeleteYep, ''dazdevnjak'' is salamander in english. =) I was always kind of scared of salamanders. Every time I'd go to forest to pick mushrooms, I'd see one. Starring at me. *shivers* XD But I had an interesting class on my faculty and I had a close encounter with it. It was so funny to hold it in my hand. He was really cute actually. =)
ReplyDelete=) I'm glad you like it. I'd pass a gecko pet, but good for you. XD
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had some troubles, 'cause the lighting was bad and I couldn't get a crisp photo...
ReplyDeleteYou really take some wonderful photos. Nature is beautiful. I like to look at this little cutie but I wouldn't want to own one.
