My first order from Fyrinnae! I got 6 eyeshadow samples, 2 Pixie Epoxy primers (one for me and one for my sister) and I also got one free eyeshadow sample.
Here are the color drops of the eyeshadows (click on the photo to make it gargantuan):
And here are the swatches, applied dry over Pixie Epoxy:
Applied wet over Pixie Epoxy:
Eternal Innocence - This one is from the Dia De Los Muertos collection for 2010. An emerald green with silver shimmer. Eternal Innocence is *really* shimmery and not so much pigmented. I got this one as a free gift and it's my least favorite. I wouldn't bother getting it in full size, I wouldn't even recommend it in sample size.
Monarch Butterfly - From the Endangered collection 2008. Fyrinnae describes it one as ''Deep black with hues of glowing reddish copper shimmer.'' It looks more like a chocolate brown with copper shimmer to me. This one is really pretty and rich. Hotness!
Medieval Haunting - Part of the Halloween 2009 collection. ''Silky, rich metallic antique gold with accents of silver and gold sparkle.'' I totally agree with Fyrinnae on this one. It's a perfect gold, rich, pigmented and easy to work with. I think I found my pigment for layering over Illamasqua Solstice.
Mephisto - Halloween 2009 collection. The photos and the description on Fyrinnae don't do this one any justice. It's a royal purple with pink shimmer/sheen in the jar and a true chameleon too. It can be blue, purple, bronze, brown... you name it. This one is a must-have for all of you who dare to wear darker colors. It's simply magical and it's my favorite. I love it!
Wicked - Plum with turquoise shimmer. Does that remind you of anything? Orly Galaxy Girl maybe? They would make a perfect couple, that's for sure. It's pretty and bold. Out of this world... for cyber girls. And again - for those who dare to wear. I recommend. =)
Cheshire Cat Grin - From the Mad Tea Party 2009. Bright blue with light blue sparkle. And I mean *sparkle*. It looks much better when applied wet. Actually, I would recommend you to use wet method of application with this one. When you use it dry, it doesn't look half as good.
New Moon's Light - Halloween 2009 collection. A perfect balance of electric purple and blue. Whoa!!! This one is a showstopper. It looks matte, but there's a bit of pink shimmer in it. Just a bit. I almost didn't get this one, because it looks lilac matte on Fyrinnae's site. I'm SO glad I did. It's the most perfect electric blue/purple I've seen. Love, love, love it!
All in all, these pigments are really nice. As you can see, Mephisto and New Moon's Light are my favorites. But the others are also pretty and pigmented, except for Eternal Innocence (I don't like that one at all). I got them all in sample size (in a jar) for $2. That's a great bargain!
Tell me: which are your favorite Fyrinnae shades? And which is your favorite from the ones I swatched?
Thanks for looking!
