Here's something blue for you...
Etude, 42, 2 coats
I wanted to try out my new Pixie Epoxy primer. Sadly I used it with Fyrinnae New Moon's Light pigment, which is more or less matte. Not a good idea. It was almost impossible to blend. If you have any tips on how to use Pixie Epoxy, I'd be more than glad to hear them.
Products I used:
* Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy primer
* Fyrinnae New Moon's Light pigment
* Essence Black Mania eye pencil
* Miss Sporty Mini-me eyeliner in Snow
* Gosh Amazing Length & Build mascara in Electric Blue
I guess I'll have to stick with Urban Decay Primer Potion when applying matte eyeshadows. This looks just too patchy... What do you think?

ReplyDeleteYeah pixie epoxy doesn't work well with mattes but it is fab with shimmers and frosts! I find mattes work best over a pencil eyeliner

ReplyDeleteDid you let it get a little tacky? I haven't really experimented with it and mattes, but I have to wait about 30 seconds or so after applying it before I can work with it. I'm still playing around with it to get it down - but boy does it make my colors pop!

I seldom use matte eyeshadows, except for the highlight. But when I did that blue eye I found it went quite patchy...But blue is a very difficult color to work with even in canvas painting...maybe using a blue eye pencil as a base instead of primers?

ReplyDeleteAmm naneses ga pa CEZ svoj navaden primer... (torej cez UDPP) in tapkas gor sencke ko je se lepljiv.. torej hitro hitro.
Mi je pa noro vsec ta barva.
Oddly enough I was just looking at Pixie Epoxy on Fyrinnae's website yesterday. They actually specify that it is NOT a primer and it's not meant to be used under mattes. It's purely meant to help glitters and shimmers stick and reduce fallout. They recommend using something else as primer for mattes. I actually didn't know that until yesterday myself.

Pixie Epoxy OVER primer, because it's more of a glitter glue/color glue than an actual primer. And no, it doesn't work with mattes. However, it's completely Holy Grail for me.

@Miffy: I got it through a friend. I don't think they're sold online. Try Ebay though.

ReplyDeleteDarn, I feel so useful... I'm searching for my taupe matte eyeshadow for my brows too. Right now I'm using Wild and Crazy in dull greyed out purple (Ocean in Mood). I'll let you know if I find one.
