Here's something blue for you...

I wanted to try out my new Pixie Epoxy primer. Sadly I used it with Fyrinnae New Moon's Light pigment, which is more or less matte. Not a good idea. It was almost impossible to blend. If you have any tips on how to use Pixie Epoxy, I'd be more than glad to hear them.

Products I used:

* Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy primer
* Fyrinnae New Moon's Light pigment
* Essence Black Mania eye pencil
* Miss Sporty Mini-me eyeliner in Snow
* Gosh Amazing Length & Build mascara in Electric Blue

I guess I'll have to stick with Urban Decay Primer Potion when applying matte eyeshadows. This looks just too patchy... What do you think?

I didn't know what to expect from these, but it turned out they're great. They're all 3 coaters and have runny formula, but the application isn't bad at all. Also - they dry really quickly.

She also sent me BareMinerals Liner Shadow in Patio Party. Whoa! this thing is pigmented. And so pretty too. I might as well use it as an eyeshadow. 'Cause I can. ;)

Hi there! My name is Viola, I'm from Sweden and I've been a beauty blogger for about two years now. My blog is called Killer Colours and it's mainly focused on motivating people to break rules and do make up any way that they want. I post lots of exciting products and fun make up looks without telling anyone how you "should" think and do. The only "should" in beauty is that it should be fun!

A while ago Nihrida sent me an e-mail asking me if I wanted to write a guest blogger post, surprised by the great offer I said hell YES! I've been following this blog for a long time now and it really is an honor to get this opportunity. So, what I'm going to show you is a make up tutorial that I created just a short while ago. Some bright purple liner, shimmery greys and sparkly holographic glitter. Let's go!

1. Now, here's our bare canvas, the eye without any make up.

2. Apply a sticky, silvery base all over the lid + crease and on the lower lashline to make our shadows stick to the skin. I used High Tech Lighter - Jupiter from Make Up Store.

3. Also apply a white base on the inner corner of the eye and some underneath the brow, here I used Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil - Milk from NYX Cosmetics. Make sure to blend the bases out, we don't want harsh lines.

4. Now it's time to start with the eyeshadows! From the crease and up I applied a metallic-y grey shadow from MAD Minerals called Shivers. Don't apply any eyeshadow on the lid, we'll come back to that later.

5. Highlight your browbone. I packed a champagne coloured eyeshadow on underneath the brow and blended it down into the grey to help it blend out. For this I used my favourite highlighter shadow called Shroom from MAC Cosmetics.

6. A semi matte white eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eye makes the eyes look brighter! Makeupcosmetics Eye Dust - Snow.

7. Of course some bright colours should be included! I lined my waterline and outer part of the lower lashline with the purple Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil called Lust. Smudge it out to make it look less harsh.

8. On top of that I added a beauuuuutiful eyeshadow to give it some depth and sparkle. This is Whisper Opal from MAD Minerals. The Whisper shadows from MAD are translucent with an awesome chrome effect. I love layering these!

9. Now it's time to pack some crazy holo glitter on the lids! Dip a flat brush in mixing medium (I use glycerine) and then into the glitter. Pack it on carefully, or else you'll get fall outs all over your face and clothes. My glitter comes from Make Up Store and it's called Hologram!

10. To balance the look up a bit, apply some liner on the top lid. I chose a sparkly dark purple to match the lower lashline! MAD Minerals Indelible 3 in 1 Liquid Eyeliner - Prism.

11. Finish off with some nice brows (MAC eyeshadow - Mystery) and pitch black lashes (Covergirl Lashblast Volume). Now it's time to go out the door and party all night! Peace out!

Vichy Update AKA If It's Not Broken...

Vichy sent me three of their Normaderm products: Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel, Tri-Activ cream and Chrono-Active night cream. I've been using them since November 1st and I stopped using them yesterday. See my previous post about Vichy Normaderm HERE.

Before I say anthing else, let's take a look at the poll results. Click on the photo to enlarge it.

So. I said I was gonna use these products for one month, right? Well, it's only been three weeks, but the effects are already showing... Let's see the products and ingredients.

I used Normaderm Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel (12,50 € for 125 mL) once a day. Usually in the evening.

Ingredients: AQUA, SODIUM LAURETH SULFAE, GLYCERIN, DECYL GLUCOSIDE, POLYETHYLENE, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, CI 47005, CI 42053, CI 77289, ISOBUTYLPARABEN, GLYCOLIC ACID, ZINC SULFATE, METHYLPARABEN, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, SALICYLIC ACID, PHENOXYETHANOL, CHONDRUS CRISPUS, JOJOBA ESTERS, IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE, PROPYLPARABEN, TETRASODIUM EDTA, HYDROLYZED ALGIN, DEXTRAN, ACETYL HEXAPEPTIDE-1, ETHYLPARABEN, BUTYLPARABEN, PARFUM, CHLORPHENESIN

See this? Full of parabens and dye. Is the color of the gel *really* that important?


OK, let's move on. I used Normaderm Tri-Activ Anti-Imperfection Hydrating Care cream in the morning (15,01 € for 50 mL). You can find the ingredients HERE.

And in the evening, I used Chrono-Active Anti-Imperfection Care cream (18,49 € for 50 mL).

Ingredients: AQUA, CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, ISOHEXADECANE, ISONONYL ISONONANOATE, GLYCERIN, CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE, SILICA, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, NYLON-12, POLY C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE, POLYGLYCERYL-4 ISOSTEARATE, ALGAE, ZINC PCA, GLYCOLIC ACID, METHYLPARABEN, MAGNESIUM SULFATE, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, TOCOPHEROL, IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLCARBAMATE, PROPYLPARABEN, COPPER PCA, CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID, TETRASODIUM EDTA, TRISTEARIN, ACETYLATED GLYCOL STEARATE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, PARFUM.

These are the 3 products I used every day for the last three weeks. And there's no nice way for me to say it, but these fu*ked up my skin completely. Enlarged pores and mixed skin were my only problems 3 weeks ago. Now I also have to deal with strange pimples, that aren't actually pimples... It doesn't even matter. The most important thing is: these products were supposed to make my skin look better, right? Well, it got worse. A LOT worse. In fact - my skin didn't look this bad in ages.

I'm going back to my previous skin routine ASAP. I'll tell you about it in another post. I'm just so diappointed in Vichy's skin care products right now. You know... Duckalicious warned me, because the same thing happened to her. Well, there you have it.

Essence - Steel Me Nail Polish and Earrings

I've been shopping for my girl Sarah today and found these:

Essence Metallics Steel Me earrings!!! They're quite heavy, so I won't be wearing them a lot, but they're so badass. =D

There's one nail polish shade that's especially suitable to wear with those earrings. Essence metallic nail polish in Steel Me, of course. I used one coat and L'Oreal's magnet for the pattern.

My sister said these earrings look like snow/tire chains. XD I guess I'm good for winter.

I don't know why, but ''Steel Me'' doesn't remind me of steel, but of HIM. I don't mind at all.

Here's something for the fashion police: This winter coat is soooooooo 2004. Fashion addits would probably throw it (and me with it) into the fires of Mount Doom. But you know what - I don't care, 'cause I love it.

China Glaze - Evening Seduction

Evening Seduction is still my number one vampy purple. It was one of my first China Glaze polishes and it has the old non B3F formula - but I don't care.

• Rimmel Mono Eyeshadow in Jet Black
• Essence Multi Action mascara

See - no liquid eyeliner, no eye pencil. Laziness FTW! =)
