... I've been lazy. And sick. And my internet connection doesn't work properly. Need more excuses?

There is so many things I must do. But where can I get some motivation? I'm useless and I wish I could sleep through these holidays. Not everything is bad though. I got this cute bouquet of lollipops for my birthday (from a very special person). Isn't it cute?

I've never seen anything like it. Flowers yes, but lollipops - Brilliant idea!

My nails are naked at the moment. They're also short and don't look good at all. I just don't care. On days like this, I'd slap on the first color I see and hope it will stay on for as long as possible. It usually chips within the first day. Then I'd walk around like an angry emo kid. I admit, I'm not doing my best. However: I did paint my nubbins for Christmas. I don't know why (I don't believe in this holiday anyway). I used Misa Dirty Sexy Money as a base and China Glaze 2030 for stamping. Along with Konad image plate M73. My nails looked like wrapping paper for one day only...

What do you do when you realise your cat is spoiled like a little child? Aishila is a trouble. I feel like she's sewed on to me. I can't even go to the toilet without her following me. And when she sees I have something else to do...

Also - I got this gift from Illamasqua. They're daring me. To be different. Hmmmm... I don't know. Should I?

What is your dream job?

It would be really neat if I could be a paid tourist. Or a tattoo artist. In that case, I could have as many tattoos as I'd want. Dreaming is my forte...

What is your frangrance for winter?

I know there are scents for winter and scents for summer, but I just use whatever I feel like using. This winter I'm having a serious relationship with Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab's Snake Oil. It's so warm and sultry.


How do you take your tea/coffee?

I only drink coffee with milk. Lots of milk. And tea: it has to be sugar-free. I'm quite strict when it comes to tea. It has to be prepared properly. And I need milk in my black tea (sometimes in green ones as well).

What is your most important beauty secret?

I don't have any beauty secrets. And even if I did - telling it here would make it a non-secret, right? ;)

If you had an all-expenses paid vacation anywhere, where would you go?

This one is a no-brainer: Bora Bora!

1. To get the hell off my lap.

Oh my. I'll pretend piercings don't count as jewellery. =) I'd wear the ring my sister bought me. The big filigree-ish one.


What one talent do you wish you had?

Musical talent. I'd love to be able to sing like Tarja Turunen or to play a guitar like Yngwie Malmsteen. I also wish I could play piano and violin.

I think I told this story before. I just started it, no special expectations, no visions or wishes. And here I am.

L'Oreal, Are You Serious?

People at L'Oreal did it again. After introducing us to their new ''revolutionary'' foundation, they managed to make another breathtaking (*coughs*) product - The One Sweep Eyeshadow.

The following section is taken from their website:

''Science Behind the Beauty - The One Sweep Shadow is a breakthrough new way for anyone to get a professional eye shadow look. The unique applicator is shaped to fit the eye and apply three shades in one step to define, color and highlight. It's fast, easy and mistake-proof.''

Really? And here I was thinking I've seen this way of applying eyeshadow before. Oh, what - I have! Avon In A Wink Instant Eyeshadow Sheets and Eye Majic, which works the same way as Avon. Sorry, but I can't say this is a breakthrough product and I really doubt it can give you a professional look. They say the applicator is unique and shaped to fit the eye... What about different eye shapes? Did people at L'Oreal ever hear about wide, close, deep set eyes? What about hooded and prominent lids? Furthermore, if you want a professional look, you should use brushes and not sponge applicators.

This One Sweep thing looks pretty useless if you ask me. The color stripes are very narrow and it's probably impossible to use these eye shadows with brushes. This just doesn't convince me.

Born Pretty False Eyelashes

Another product I got from the Born Pretty store were these false eyelashes.

I don't wear false eyelashes. In fact, this was my first time using them properly. At least I think I used them properly. You decide. =)

I struggled a bit with the application, but I think I managed to stick them close enough to my natural lashes. I used Eye Charm glue (also from the Born Pretty store; I'll post about it in details some other time). I'm not sure which are the features that are important when you buy false eyelashes, but I can say that I like these. They're soft, quite easy to use (once you get a hang of it) and they look nice - if you're into dramatic look. ;)
I can't find them in Born Pretty store, but I'm sure you'll find something for yourself if you'll go there. They offer a large range of false eyelashes - from natural to dramatic looking. And they're cheap as well + shipping is free. What else could you ask for?

So, tell me - do you wear false eyelashes? If so, which ones? Would you wear these?

Kelier Cracking Nail Polish

I got some stuff from Born Pretty online store for review and this is the first post in line. One of the products I got is this cracking nail polish. I've never heard of Kelier brand/polish before, but it sure looks interesting.

Here's what it looks like layered over China Glaze Snow from the Holiday 2010 collection.

There's one thing I have to mention about this polish: you have to apply it while the bottom/base polish is still wet. I like the fact you don't have to apply an extra thin layer to get a nice cracking effect. This one is really easy to work with. And one more thing - applying top coat is a must. Otherwise you might end up with chipped cracking effect. ;)

Technical Difficulties

Ever felt annoyed, sick and tired of everything?

I'd like to turn my brain off, but I'm afraid there's no switch for that. My own mind is playing games and I don't like it. I just wanna go to bed and sleep for a couple of days.

I have a ton of things to post about and I can't find the energy to do it. So why not make another pointless entry to my blog...

Rantastic

Another day, another sh*t. This time is totally different, but I can still smell it. I've said ''fu*k it'' too many times in the last couple of days. It already sounds like my new mantra.

Snow, health problems, extra chipped manicure and lack of everything that makes me feel better. I miss my cats. I miss being held and taken care of. I miss good times. Giving something up and getting nothing in return is not a good bargain, is it?

How do you know something is worth fighting for? How do you know it's time to give up and move on?

Any answers?
