Bright Purple Comparison

These three polishes look really similar in the bottles. That's why I decided to make a comparison...

Here they are on my nails. From top to bottom (all 2 coats): Ludurana Azulle, Color Club Puccilicious, Hot Topic Bright Purple and, once again, Ludurana Azulle.

They look much closer in real life (like on the bottles photo above). Azulle isn't blue as it seems on the photo, but it is a bit colder and darker than Puccilicious. Azulle is the most opaque of the three and it dries glossy. Puccilicious is a bit lighter and it dries semi-satin. Bright Purple is the lightes and the least opaque. It dries to a satin finish. They're different, but I don't think anyone would notice you're wearing three different shades. A close inspection would show they're not the same, but I don't think there's a need to own all of them. That's just my humble opinion. =)

The application is pretty much the same with Puccilicious and Azulle. Color Club has better brush than Ludurana, but it's also less opaque. Hot Topic applies just as well as Color Club, but I have a little problem with the long handle. The brush is OK though.

Which one would you choose?

Thanks for looking!

  5. I'd pick Azulle just because I'm Brazilian. No, really, you have no idea how many girls in Brazil are crazy to put their hands in a bottle of Azulle. Ludurana is still growing so the distribution is not Brazil-wide yet.

  8. Glad to see Ludurana improved Azulle´s formula! It used to take 3 coats for opacity!

  9. Super primerjava! Ravno sem v fazi kupovanja pučilišusa :)) zanima pa me še nekaj.. Tale Azulle je kaj podoben Essie Lapis of Luxury ali je bolj vijola. Nevem če imaš oba, ampak vprašati ni greh :)

  10. Hummm... My Azulle is not so bright! That's the problem with that crazy polish! There are several diferences from batch to batch. My Azulle is more lilac-y than that.
But it's one of my favorite polishes ever!

  11. @darksome: Azulle ni prav nič podoben Essie-ju. Lapis je moder, ta pa je lilast (neonsko). Na prvi sliki, kjer so stekleničke so barve najbolj realne. Ne vem zakaj so na drugi sliki tako mimo... :/

  12. Azulle's my favorite. I love that it's slightly blue and shiny. Never really developed a fondness for matte colors. :) Thanks for doing this! What a fun comparison. I hope to do a comparison on my nail blog someday too, since this was such a good idea.
