Essence, Just Rock It, 2 coats + Essence, Glisten Up, 2 coats

If Glisten Up was a Nfu Oh polish, everybody would be talking about it and a lot of nail polish junkies would pay big bucks to get it. But it's just Essence and noone gives a shit. At least that's what it looks like.
€100 for Chanel Riva on Ebay, €14 for OPI or €2 for Essence nail polish? The era of expensive nail polish has to end. Way to go, Essence!
*drool*

I saw a few reviews on NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils on different blogs. That reminded me to bring out my Jumbo pencil in Purple and try it out. Again.

Product used:
* NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Purple
* 120 Eyeshadow Palette
* Essence Black Mania eye pencil
* Maybelline Lash Stylist mascara
* nail art flakies I got from Stiletto

That's it for now. I gotta go to bed and get some sleep. I've been walking around like a zombie for the last few days.
Thanks for looking!

Riva se zna prodajat po 100€? Ö Svašta. :)) Glisten Up je res lep, škoda, ker gre sedaj vn iz prodaje. :/
ReplyDeleteNails and eyes are amazing! Great job and good night :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, both the polish combo and the makeup! To be honest I never cared about the brand of my nailpolish. The one I am wearing now I bought in china store for 1 euro and I am obsessed with it!
ReplyDeleteSuper lep MU! Za glisten Up! pa itak vem da je cudovit ;D
ReplyDeleteThat polish combo is gorgeous. I am writing the colours down so I can see if I can find them, here.
ReplyDeleteI am not a polish snob. Ninety-mine cents a bottle? Ten bucks a bottle? Who cares? As long as the polish is fabulous. :D
Essence does have a ton of really pretty polishes. And so cheap! I say way to go too!
ReplyDeleteThe look you did looks gorgeous with your eye color!
Love the color, especially your eye makeup!
ReplyDeleteThose two polishes are wonderful together, I love the flakie effect with the mermaid colour over top! Plus the purple eye is gorgeous! You're eye looks are always stunning! :D
ReplyDeleteLove the nails, love the makeup!
ReplyDelete<3 Soooo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh that's a great combo ! I have glisten up and I don't really use it. I'm gonna try it over a blue polish like you did. I'm rocking China Glaze Frostbite right now so maybe it could work on this one too ?! I love your makeup too ;)
ReplyDeletebeautiful...
ReplyDeleteYou're absolutely right: sometimes it seems to be more about the brand then the colour of product or whatever. I think it is 2 thumbs up for Essence that their quality keeps getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteThe colour combo of these are awesome!
Love,
Kim
Some brands really ARE overpriced indeed, Essence has (especially for it's pricerange) amazing colors and Glisten Up is a gem in my collection. Your combi looks gorgeous! ♥
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more about what you said of expensive polishes.
ReplyDeleteI weare that combination last week (but I just glisten up my pinky finger) and I also LOVE it.
And you are so right - if it was an expensive flackie everyone alredy had talked about it.
I alredy got 3, but I will by a couple more. It is just gorgeous.
You should try a matte coat before you remove it. I did and it was so cool. Check it on my Blog.
Love
Tânia
P.S.: Sorry for no comment very often on your blog, but I visit you everyday. Big Hug.
I absolutely loooove your eye makeup! :D
ReplyDeleteI love those colors I need to try and find Glisten Up I've been wanting that forever.
Go get some beauty sleep. :)
I've actually been wondering for a while. I've been seeing loads of essence and catrice swatches in the nail world, and the colours really seem awesome, with a great range. But what about the formula, and the brushes? I'd be really greatful if you could give a short review, as I live in Hong Kong, and I really want to know if they're worth it before I start begging my friends to haul me some over summer vacation...=P I'd really appreciate it!x))
ReplyDeleteWow, that's gorgeous! I wish I could get Essence where I am. I get where you are coming from, and I'm starting to get more into the cheaper brands lately. I used to be a brand snob, but I'm past that now. All I care about at this point is that the shade is interesting and the formula is workable.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Essence Glisten Up. It's always nice to find more cost worthy polishes that are exciting and not of the normal boring. Wish I could get essence where I live. It's a nice combo too.
ReplyDeleteLove the nails and the eyes!!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! that is sooo awesome! Thanks so much for showing that! Swoons! *rushes to Ebay to see if I can find it here in the US!
ReplyDeleteOh, I definitely agree with you on that. If this was a Chanel shade everyone would be describing the hell out of it and singing it's praises left and right.... oh the shimmer this... the glitter particles that... macro close-ups would be taken under a gazillion different lightning conditions to bring out esoteric shades of subtle shimmer that would be otherwise invisible to the naked eye... etc, etc... Haha it's quite funny sometimes. I just took one look at Riva and found it to be a quite boring, ordinary baby blue. No need to dissect it under a microscope.
ReplyDeletei wish ulta, in the states, would carry glisten up! :( looks amazing
ReplyDeletewow!! This essence combo is great! i'll try it asap!
ReplyDeleteyou're grat with makeup! O love the glitters :)
What a gorgeous combinatation! I'm so glad I also have glisten up :)
ReplyDeleteI've layered two coats of Glisten Up! over ChG - Frostbite and it's gorgeous ! I've blogged about it here and I gave you credits for it ;)

ReplyDeleteWow, I love the nail polish combination, and your eye look! I really like how you used the flakies beneath your eyes, love the effect!
ReplyDeleteYour makeup is always stellar~love those flakies under your eye. Your so creative. The polish combination is really stunning. Wish I had some Essence polishes. It's a beauty. Looks like water a mermaid would be swimming in.
ReplyDeleteSeriously did drool over this post!!! Amazing polish combo!!! And absolutely gorgeous eye art!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful association, why have I never thought of wearing these two polishes together? Thanks for the idea!!!! <3
ReplyDeleteawesome mix!
ReplyDeleteHi, gorgeous combination... I love flakies, but they are scarce in Czech republic... fortunately Essence is almost everywhere :-) Do you know if they have any more flakies besides the Night in Vegas, the city that never sleeps (from Color3) and this green one? Because I didn't notice those at first glance, so I'm wondering what else I've missed.
