Here Comes the Sun

The spring is here! I took my camera and went outside. These are the flowers that grow here in spring time.

Primrose (Primula Vulgaris) - this is one of the first flowers you can see in Slovenia in spring time. The name ''primrose'' comes from ''prima rosa'' (latin) which means ''first rose''. Thank you, Wikipedia. =)

Snowdrops (Galanthus Nivalis)

Hellebore (Helleborus)

Wolf's Bane (Eranthis Hyemalis)

Spring Crocus (Crocus Vernus)

Crocus (don't know which exact species).

Spring Heath (Erica Carnea)

And this is my BF's family dog. His name is Lun and he's a german shepherd.

Once you're used to having chihuahuas around, this dog can look pretty big, strong and heavy. Excuse my messy hair, I just got up. ;)

Thanks for looking!

  3. Wow it's really beautiful out there! We still have loads of snow, and when the sun shines it makes everything so wet and messy... and at nights it's still so cold that all the melted snow becomes ice... I just wait for the sun to warm up the weather a bit more so the snow would evaporate... and one could start wearing summer shoes and all, and the beautiful flowers would peak from the benches :)

  5. Thank you for your comments, ladies! =)

@Doo: You'll get your dose of sunshine too. By the way - I don't think we're done with snow for this season yet.

@Paulina: The ones I posted (yellow primrose) grow outside and are ''wild'' flowers. The other primroses (in red, purple, pink) are popular for mother's day and valentines...those are the ones we keep inside. =)

  12. I needed all those beautiful blossoms. It's so grey and dreary here in New Jersey today. May even snow. I was hoping that was all done with. Your boyfriend's dog is beautiful. My family had a German Shephard when I was a teenager. We wanted him for an inside dog but he couldn't stand the heat. He shed like crazy and slept by the door. He was happier outside. I miss him and he's loveable self.
