Essence released two shades of lipstains. The lighter pink is called 01 Let Me in Rose and the one I bought is darker and cooler. This one is 02 Your Pink is On Fire.
I tried the lipstain on the back of my hand and it basically feels like drawing with a marker. Once the color dries, it stays there and fades gradually. It doesn't smear or smudge, but it does slowly fade off.
I like the control you have when you use this marker. You can line your lips the way you like it and then just fill them in. Elementary school all over again. ;) One thing I have to mention is - your lips must be super soft when you use this. I usually apply lip balm under my lipstick, but in this case, your lips need to be bare. If your lips are dry, it's gonna show. And it doesn't look pretty (as you can see on my photo below). I apologise in my lips behalf, but this wouldn't be a fair review if I didn't show you the product in action.

This product if a lot of fun and it's cheap. If you're tempted to try it, I say you get it.

I would get this if lipstains worked on me! I've tried all types of stains and they all stain my bottom lip but it disappears on my top as soon as I apply it. :-(

ReplyDeleteBought the other one! Because I was so curious about the Lipfinity Lasting Lip Tint from Maxfactor, but that one was so expensive! Love it, and love that it's so affortable :)
