Essence, Ballerina Backstage Trend Edition, Grand-Plié in Black, 3 coats

This polish applied very nicely, but needs three coats for full opacity. The glitter in it isn't very visible but it does give a nice twist to the black polish. I love the brush on this one. It's a bit flat and the application with it is super easy. I have nothing like this polish in my collection. Well, there is China Glaze Fortune Teller, but it looks nothing like this one. I'm not to crazy about the three coats thing, but I guess it's as opaque as possible in order for the glitter to show. It's a very nice polish indeed. I recommend it. :)
Thanks for looking!

When I saw a preview of collection this one was my favourite. Good to know you recommend it, but still for me there's less glitter than I expected.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! What about layered over a black creme?
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks beautiful. If only I could find a way to get Essence over here in the US :(
ReplyDeleteI was interested in this one too after seeing collection previews, but I was hoping the glitter would be more visible... :(
ReplyDeleteBut it looks so good on you!
Unusual, I like it, if not the three coats!
ReplyDeleteOhh I need to keep an eye on the display in my town for this! I love black polish and actually love that the glitter is quite subtle!
ReplyDeleteI think that shorter nails and dark polish suit your hands so much :)
ReplyDeleteLep je in paše na tvoje nohtke!
ReplyDeleteThis is the only polish from this collection that I picked up, too:)
ReplyDeleteThis was the only nail polish I picked up from the Ballerina Backstage collection too. It looks so gorgeous on your nails. :)
ReplyDeleteI found something similar in Wet N Wild's Megalast polish at Rite Aid in the US called Blackmail. I do not know if they are similar but they both have that black jelly with gold glitter type of look to them. I cannot wait to try it because Essence is only sold in ULTA in the US (that I've seen so far!) and this particular collection I've never even heard of!
ReplyDeleteamazing color!!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Undead polish from Twilight Eclipse TE. It was black with pink glitter. Well, the only difference is the color of the glitter. :)
ReplyDeleteI like this with the little bit of glitter in it. Pretty and edgy.
