The Great Wave off Kanagawa

I'll have to dig into the art of ukiyo-e soon... Why not make it even more fun and involve some make up? This is a woodblock print named The Great Wave off Kanagawa. This piece of art from the Edo period is supposed to be one of the most recognized Japanese art works.

And this is how I see it ... eye make up style.

This is how it looks when it's not P-shopped like crazy.

Products used:
* Urban Decay Primer Potion
* Beauty UK palette in Soho Bright
* Essence Eyeliner Pen in Back to Paradise (Return to Paradise TE)
* NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
* Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara

And a color coordinated polish - Essence in Movin' On from the discontinued Multi Dimension line.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

  7. Ah, how I love this piece... As much as I love Japan. That means a lot. Japans intrigues me the most. Plus it's so strange.

    Pity there will be no more Multidimension polishes. They'll be very much missed.
