Catrice - Sir! Yes, Sir!

You know how I sometimes say the pictures of a certain polish don't do it justice? How it looks so much better in real life and that you have to see it to believe it? This is not one of those cases. Sir! Yes, Sir! (oh, what a weird name!) is very photogenic since it looks way better on photos than it does in reality.

Catrice, Sir! Yes, Sir!, 2 coats

I saw this polish on different blogs a couple of times and it quickly became one of the polishes on my wishlist. I wanted it badly! This summer I finally saw it in a Croatian store, but it looked nothing like I thought it should/would, so I didn't buy it. After that I saw it again. And fell in love with it - again. ''The next time I see it, it must be mine'', I said to myself. And so it was.

It doesn't wow me. The fact I wanted it so much fascinates me. It's nothing special, really. Military green of a troublesome application and not the best formula. *yawn* I know what you're gonna say - it looks pretty and edgy, it looks just fine. Yes, it does, but only on photos...

If you're one of the Sir! Yes, Sir! owners: what are your thoughts about it? And if not: does it convince you?

Thanks for looking and commenting!

  1. I don't own it, and it doesn't seem fascinating.. I know that all those khaki and muddy colors are trendy etc, but I'm certainly not one of those people who would wear everything that is proclaimed fashionable. Maybe it would look better on darker skin (tanned), it's like skinny jeans, I guess.. not for everyone. Though I like Essie's "Sew Psyched", and it's also green-khaki color, but with that nice shimmer. Though, again, I don't own it, but at least I like it on photos.)

  2. Haha! I LOVE the name! It fits perfectly with the color. And that IS an awesome color. I can't think of any dupes. It's kind of a darker, non-shimmer version of Essie Sew Psyched.

  3. I had the pink magnetic polish from Essence on my wishlist and bought it in Amsterdam but even though I've only tried it out on the nailwheel it's a lot less magnetic than I thought it would.

  4. Hmm, I have this one myself and while the color may not be overly special I did enjoy the formula a lot! It does pull greener on you :).
