Essence - Galactic Black

... the boundary between the world of the living and the world of the dead is blurred today ... are you ready to scare off the spirits from the other side? *awkward silence* Meh. I don't care about his Halloween stuff, but everytime I get to wear a dark nail polish with a purpose (or not), I'm in!

Essence, Galactic Black, 2 coats

Galactic Black is one of the new shades from the Essence Colour & Go line. It doesn't look too special in the bottle or on the nails, but if you know how to appreciate a nice black polish that isn't just black, then this one is made for you. I actually like it a lot. It has soul - now that we're all about this Halloween stuff, it kind of makes me think of the spirits trapped in a bottle of darkness. Too weird?

No, I'm not going out today. This was made just for you.

Happy Halloween!

EDIT: My Halloween make up was (of course) inspired by the Zombie Boy aka Rick Genest. <3 See THIS tutorial.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

  1. A very pretty polish, indeed. I would wear this willingly and frequently in normal life. It is such a shame you are not going out tonight: this Rick Genest-looking make up is amazing! :-) Thinking of doing something similar myself.

  2. Great makeup! I wanted to party so badly tonight to dress up and makeup for Halloween but in the end I guess I'll stay at home and watch a scary movie with my boyfriend :)
About the polish...well, it looks pretty, but I think I already own a couple that look pretty similar to this one, that's why I didn't buy it. I must say that black looks always good on you :)
Have a nice (and spooky) day!

  6. @Lyolya: I will wear it a lot willingly as well! =) There's not much happening here, so I'll just stay in the warm comfort of my home. ;D

@Elsa P.: Sometimes it's better to stay at home. I'm not in the 'going out' mood anymore lately. Concert? That's great! But going out just to flash my make up, naaaah. =)

@moonchild: Za en evro in pol ne boš brcnila v temo. =)

@Katkoc: Aber natürlich! =) Ah, čudovit je.

  13. Zakon make up in zato še toliko večja škoda, ker ga ne bo nihče videl v živo :/ Kako to, da ne greš nikamor za Halloween?! Takrat so najboljši žuri, hihi :)

  16. love the polish, and the halloween makeup! I've seen that video about a week ago and been wanting to recreate it on my boyfriend and myself. but as it always happens my university decided that I had to write a report (something similar to an exam, 8 of them during a semester determine my grade in that class) from 14.00 'till 18.00h -.- So there goes my halloween-night-out as a zombie girl, because, by the time I would get home, shower and do the makeup on myself and my bf, it would probably be around midnight =( ah well....maybe next year? -.- (sorry for the long post)

  17. Love the polish. Reminds me of an Orly polish. I can never remember names so I don't know which one. You makeup is scary & beautiufl at the same time.

  18. I love the black and black with something extra polish! This on is really good, but i think China Glaze Haunting will suffice in that area ... if not, I can always grab one in the drugstore. :)

No words needed for the make up. It's smashingly awesome.

  19. That polish looks nice. It reminds me of "fabuless" (essence, too) - do you have that one and could make a comparison? Or am I colourblind again and these two don't look familiar at all?

I love your make up, it looks great. As I'm one of the readers, I say thank you for doing this only for us. :) But I think it's a shame you haven't gone out like this. It looks just awesome.
(I haven't been out either by the way - but I would have been way to lazy (and untalented) for such a look.)

  20. Scary girl!!! Make up is great :-0 and photograph, too!
The polish is interesting, I don't think I own something like that, I thought it was similar to Eyeko Cosmic but I was wrong!
