Essence - Just Can't Get Enough (Pop Top Coat, Re-Mix Your Style TE)

Yesterday I asked you to guess my manicure. I must admit it wasn't really fair of me, because it wasn't one nail polish - it was a layering of two polishes. I wanted to show you the base color first, but I just can't keep you hangin'. =) Smaltoitaliano and Gnoma were right, it's Essence Pop Top Coat from the Re-Mix Your Style Trend Edition.

This is what I said in my Weekly Sum-Up post #7, exactly a week ago:
''I wasn't completely sure about the Pop Top coat, so I just left it in the store.''

I'm so glad I went back and bought this top coat! The moment I put it over my Etude Mystic Puple mani (I'm gonna show it to you in my next post), I thought of a polish I wanted so badly but never got it - Nubar Jewel. I wanted to see if you'd see the same thing, so I asked you ... and here's what you said:
* Most of you said it's either OPI My Private Jet or Color Club Revvvolution.
* Three of you said it's either Nubar Gem or Jewel. That's what I wanted to hear. =) I know they're not exactly alike, but it's close enough for me.
* Two of the ladies said it looks like Impala Na Mira 3D and Nfu Oh 14.

Etude, Mystic Purple, 2 coats + Essence, Just Can't Get Enough (Pop TC), 1 coat

It doesn't look as stunning on these photos, because I couldn't capture the holo effect of the top coat. This photo shows it much better. It's foggy here, so I can't show you what it looks like in the sun. Maybe some other time.

All in all, I'm sooooo glad I got this top coat. I do have a problem with it's name or better yet - names. It should be just Pop Top Coat and we'd all be happy. I guess it's named after Black Eyed Peas song Just Can't Get Enough, but I'm not 100% sure.

What do you think about this top coat? Would you buy it if you had the chance?

Thanks for looking and commenting!

  1. I am wondering - where did you buy these polishes (essence pop & dance top coats)? They both look great to me. I've been looking for them in Ljubljana and Maribor (Muller, Tuš & DM) without luck.

  2. I would definitely buy this - I'm sure I'll have to wait awhile before it launches in Australia :(

  3. This is more holo than the one I saw at the stand today. It was from their black and white range and it was totally not holo at all, more iridescent! If this was there, I probably would've grabbed it :)

  4. Ahhh, the only "Just can't get enough" song will always be the one by Depeche Mode :P

  7. I thought it looked kind of familiar to me and thought of my Nubar Jewel - but then I thought 'naaah, I don't know that much about polishes, so that probably isn't the one'.. So, it wasn't that one, but I would have made yoy happy if I guessed.. So now you know that one more would've said Jewel ;)

    I like this topcoat!

  9. I need to do some serious Essence shopping next time I visit Germany. :)

  10. Now that I've seen your pictures, it goes to my "to buy" list, together with vegas/flakes one!
I agree with Smaltoitaliano on Depeche Mode :-)

  11. Gorgeous, really like it.

Wonder will it be coming to Dublin soon?

  12. No way that this is named after Black Eyed Peas's song - Just Can't Get Enough is a trademark (and really really cool) song by Depeche Mode - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKrZ8oWO5-w <3 :)
As for the polish - too pink for me, but it looks lovely on you :)

  14. Wow! This TC really transforms a mani! The fact that it's a holo is an added bonus :) Can't see the holo in the pics but I bet it looks amazing in real life!

  15. I have this Essence topcoat as well as the other ones (Dance TC, Rock TC etc.) but haven't worn it as a full mani yet. I love the layering you did with it!

  16. Wow, it really looks like Nubar jewel och Gem!
I would buy it but sadly we don´t have Essence in Sweden.

  17. Oooh, I'm so happy right now I bought it! I wasn't sure if I will like it at all, but I grabbed one and said to myself I can always send it in a swap package if I won't like it but now I'll stick to it for sure!

  18. So, would you call this a proper holo topcoat then?

  19. I hope that this top coat would be available in Slavakia
    Must be it looks exquisite

  20. @maša: I got them in Muller in Krško.

@Smaltoitaliano: Probably, but you can never know - with Essence, everything is possible.

@Swaafie: Yes, that does make me happy. =)

@CherrySue: I don't know when Essence is coming to the stores. Even the ladies here in Slovenia can't seem to find this collection.

@Sana: If I'm completely honest, both of those songs suck. But that's just my opinion, so I don't really care which one this top coat got named after. ;) I'm biased though: I hate BEP and I only love Stripped by Depeche Mode. Plus, I always thought they are more electro/dance. Eeeh, what do I know... =)

@Nail Stories: I haven't seen the real holo effect either, cause there's no sun... but it does look like holo sparkles over my nails and I like it a lot.

@Ulmiel: I guess I'll have to do the same: buy it all and then swap it if I don't like it. =D

@marox79: It's hard to say. I absolutely love the effect, but I can't say how holo it really is. There's no sun here in Slovenia lately...

  21. Za človeka, ki mu Depeche Mode niso všeč, obstaja samo ena rešitev - da posluša DM, dokler mu ne postanejo všeč ;) Zaradi BEP pa ni niti vredno izgubljati besed :)

  22. Gorgeous polish. Color Club Revolution is a deeper base.

  23. Damn. I saw it and was unsure about it, just like you. I know I really want to own that Dance-TC but I can't find it anymore (I found a totally untouched display, but at that point I didn't know how beautiful these topcoats are). But now I also want that Dance-Thingy.
Concerning the name: Yes, it's a bit distracting that they have two names. But if they'd only called them "Dance/Pop/Whatever"-Topcoat, I would be moaning because of the uncreativity. I find it very more original to give them names of song titles.

  25. I love this colour. Stunning! You paint so neatly. :)

  26. @Nihrida: No sun here in the last couple of days either. I was wondering if Essence got the difference between 'holo-ish' and 'duochrome' right this time.
