This Vampire's Love lipstain in True Love is the only product beside nail polishes that I purchased from the latest trend edition. I didn't think I would want it, because I thought this was a squeeze out tube. When I saw it has a doe foot applicator, I decided to give it a shot. I'm not sorry. It's an interesting product and well worth those 2.00 €.
Vampire's Love lipstains come in two colors, but I only got True Love, because I can't pull off a cool dark toned purple that is Bloody Mary. I guess I'm not addicted to blogging enough to buy it just for the sake of swatching. That counts for something, you know. =) Here's a swipe of the True Love lipstain on my hand.
These lipstain things that came out recently (at least in my world) are really interesting. I like the idea and I like the products as well. Before I bought this one, I have only tried lipstains in pencil form (Essence lipstain from the You Rock TE and Catrice one). I didn't know this is such a liquid-y product. I was expecting it to be more like a gloss. Well, it's better this way. The application is easy, but it can be tricky. You have to be careful to color inside your lipline or it will stain your skin and it won't look pretty. Once the lipstain dries, it basically stays put for hours and hours. It doesn't bleed, but it does fade a little. There's only one problem - this lipstain (or any other lipstain I've tried) will emphasize any dry spots on your lips. Don't foget to moisturize them prior to using any lipstain.
What are your thoughts on lipstains?
