Essence, Where is the Party?, 3 coats
Let's take a look of the color drop again ... See all the color changing? From purple through yellow to green, teal and blue. Beautiful.
Where's the Party? I guess the party is in the bottle and I'm not invited. This multichrome effect doesn't show on my nails no matter how much I twist and turn my hands. It doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad polish though. I mean... my nails are so flat - if they were half as curvy as my ass, maybe the colors would show up just fine. Maybe.
My nails get a lavender-ish frosty purple with dirty green lowlights. Not what I was expecting.
Although this polish isn't a big success in my eyes, it's not a complete failure either. It applies quite nicely for a frosty polish and the formula is good as well. It does need 3 coats for full opacity, but what are you gonna do... For €1.49 I'd suggest you to at least try it. I think I'm keeping it.

DeleteI own Iron Mermaiden, but the effect is poor and color looks good only in the bottle or with using glitter topper...I should have bought Where's The Party, cause I've seen wearing it on my friends and it looked so much better! =]

ReplyDeleteI have the exact same.. I bought it because it looked so pretty in the bottle, but on my nails the effect just didn't show up. I'm not sure about the colour without the duochrome.. Not my colour I guess! x
ReplyDeleteThat's really odd that the multichrome effect doesn't show up on your nails! I have this color too and on me, it really is visible.

Pity you don't like it very much. It's one of the prettiest C&Gs imo.

ReplyDeleteI bought this polish as soon as it was available here because of all that bottle prettyness, but I guess I wasn't invited to the party either.
ReplyDeleteIt was disappointing. Well, a frost polish lover will probably love it a lot, but I hate that finish and the brush strokes that come along with it :p

Well it's somewhat disappointing compared to the bottle, but if you don't look at the bottle you have a very nice polish. Definitively yay for me!

V steklenički me spominja na 490 Iron Mermaiden od Catrice (ki ga imam ravno tudi sama na nohtih), na nohtih je pa precej drugačen, bolj vijoličen in v bistvu mi je ta od Essence bolj všeč (sem si ga že ogledovala v živo). Ampak 5 ml in 3 plasti - to pomeni, da bi ga jaz lahko uporabila maksimalno 2-krat :/

ReplyDeleteImam ga, pa čeprav je dupe od Zoya Ki, ga kar ne nanesem ponovno. Kaj pa vem ... saj je lep, ampak tudi mene moti da se zelo hitro vidi poteg čopiča.

ReplyDeleteI like polishes like Where is the Party?, Iron Mermaiden or Not like the movies, but the grey-purple-green color change is somewhat special and I couldn't wear it every day.

Hey there! I think you should try to layer it over some black nail polish. I bought a similar colour from a Brazilian brand and you only get to see the real party if you layer it on top of a black nail polish - with just 1 coat! I like it anyway, but it might be more interesting in this combo. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI don't care for this color either. In my case, I don't think I like the purple / green duochrome (nonexistent) combo. I don't think it looks bad on your nails, but I can see what you mean about it feeling "flat."

ReplyDeleteThat's so strange that you didn't get the duochrome effect! I always use two coats of it (no layering) and the color changing is obvious! I wonder if the party is in another bottle?! So so strange.

ReplyDeleteI think it's a gorgeous color! Mildly annoying when all the colors don't show up on the nails. I have polishes like that. The bottle color look better.
ReplyDeleteTale je definitivno zanimiv, vendar meni osebno niso všeč odtenki, ki se prelivajo iz vijolične v zeleno in si ga najbrž ne bi kupila imava pa seveda različen okus in tako je prav ;)
