Guppy, Sanding Fruit Extract, 12, 2 coats
There are no words for me to tell you how much I adore this polish. It's magnificent! It's black with silver glitter, almost completely opaque in one coat, but the glitter still remains visible. How awesome is that? You could say it's ugly with it's grainy surface ... but I say it kick ass. It's edgy and hardcore. I'm in love!

Guppy, Sanding Fruit Extract, 12, 2 coats + Essence, Nail Art Sealing Top Coat, 1 coat
Once you add a top coat to this black magic, it becomes a different polish. It reminds me of China Glaze Haunting I recently put on my wishlist. I know they're not exactly the same, but this baby was enough to make me not want that China Glaze anymore. *erases Haunting off wishlist*
One coat of top coat makes this polish somewhat shiny, but it doesn't completely smooth out the surface. I like that. It's still got some roughness to the touch, but not in a disturbing kind of way.
Here's a side by side comparison: 2 coats of Guppy #12 nail polish without top coat on the left and the same with top coat on the right. Which one do you like better?

I was just thinking how this polish looks so great with the gritty surface! Normally that would be a no no for me, but this looks awesome, edgy and hardcore is the best description haha
ReplyDeleteBesides the texture, it reminds me a lot of one of the Pure Ice polishes at Walmart for $2. It's called Electric.

Usually, I don't like polishes that are so gritty, especially when some of the glitter is obscured by the base color, but this has a really cool, industrial kind of feel to it. It looks so badass!

ReplyDeleteThe one without top coat! It looks like sand paper, I love it.. now I've created a sandpaper polish in my head, I must try to make a franken with desert sand in some day...
