For those of you who aren't familiar with these: NYX Round Lipsticks are the best cheap lipsticks I've ever tried. They're soft, pigmented and hydrating. They retail for $4.00.
When I look at them like this, I can see why I wear Tea Rose and Thalia more often than the other shades. I can also see that Circe and Strawberry Milk look awful on me. And Uranus really should be so brown-ish ... it's just wrong in so many ways.
Do you own any NYX Round Lipstick? What do you think about the quality of these?

ReplyDeleteI don't think that I've seen this brand in the Shops in South Africa but these look amazing. I don't wear much lipstick but seeing these swatches makes me want to wear more. :)
ReplyDeleteI just love NYX round lipsticks! They're my favourite lipsticks ever - it's just like you said: cheap, moisturizing, good quality colour. And there are soooo many shades to choose from. My faves are Pumpkin Pie (a warm orange nude) and Mars (dark nude). I'm considering buying Circe, Tea Rose and Thalia. I would also like to get a delicate coral red from NYX's lipsticks , but I'd have to do research first :)
ReplyDeleteThey are awsome I like because have 144(? maybe more) colors so you can alwasy find something that can flatter your makeup or skin tone.

I thought the same thing about Uranus. WHY is it brown? And why even name a lipstick that? Unless it is part of a planet collection.
ReplyDeleteWe have several of those (including Thalia and B52). One of our newest, Lala looks totally different on me -a lot darker- than it does on my sister.
ReplyDeleteI'm not into the nude lipstick thing either. I feel like I'm wearing concealer on my lips and feel like a zombie, lol.
I really liked your swatches. I'm always pretty confused about the colours when I buy brands that I can only get online.
ReplyDeleteI own 4 of these NYX lipsticks in: Tea Rose (definitely my favorite), B52, Mauve and Taupe (the only one that I think I won't be using that much). I think they slide well, without bleeding, reach full opacity and keep my lips moisturized. Totally worth it, even if you have to pay for shipping, as I do. =)

ReplyDeleteThanks for posting these. I probably have most of these. I really like these lipsticks. I don't think there's a lipsticks that I haven't liked in some way. If I ever counted how many lipsticks I have (also nail polish) I'd probably fall down in a dead faint. Funny about Uranus!!

ReplyDeleteI never tried this brand, but gosh these lipsticks are freaking pigmented! I have dry lips so if they are also hydrating (and not expensive)...Sooner or later I will try them! Thank you for the swatches gallery!

ReplyDeleteI have a whole bunch of these and I like how creamy they are, even if they don't stay put for a long time on my lips. Of the ones you've shown I really like Thalia, Paris and Tea Rose.
ReplyDeleteyep, I own B52, and I like it alot. mine's a bit more pinker than yours, according to the swatch. they are not dry, which I like a quite lasting despite the creamy formula. I just own one of them, the B52, but I doubt I'll be ordering more of those, cause I like to change brands a lot :))
