Sancion Angel - Luna

Here's another beauty from Brazil: Sancion Angel holographic nail polish in Luna. This one is purple in real life, but doesn't want to photograph. We know how purples are...

Luna is not only beautiful as hell, it's also very opaque. I used only 1 coat. Can you imagine that? Holo that needs only one coat - it must be made in heaven. It applies well and dries fast, the only downside is the tipwear (on the same day, with the use of topcoat).

Bonus photo: Luna with my ''I look like I'm stoned, but I'm not'' eye make up.

Sauron Goes Metal

I still feel most comfortable with black nails. It's simple, edgy and it goes with everything. This are 2 coats of Color Club Where's the Soiree - my favorite black nail polish, which is also perfect for stamping.

Showing off my new rings... The biker skull ring kind of reminds me of Sauron. The one from LoTR, remember. I also see I have to use my hand creams more often. Not good, not good at all.

Which is your ''this is me'' color?

Barry M - Cyan Blue

Barry M polishes are great. The colors are fun, the application is great and most of them need only 2 coats to get the full opacity. What else could you want?

Barry M, Cyan Blue, 2 coats

As I already mentioned. I like the brush, formula, drying time, color ... I like everything about this one. It's not as vivid in real life, it's more muted blue. I don't know why it went crazy in my Crappy.

Tell me: what do you think about Barry M polishes? Which are your favorite Barry M shades?

Purple Comparisons

Wanna see some more comparisons?

Lilac cremes: Essence No More Drama, China Glaze Light as Air, Hits Brisa do Mar and Essence Date Me from the Cute as Hell trend edition.

I applied 2 coats of each and here is how they look like.

Wanna know which is which? They're all different, but I think Brisa do Mar and Date Me are close enough not to own both. What do you think?

I really like the color of Can You Dig It, but OPI and I don't get along very well. That's why I went through my stash in search of a dupe. And you know what? I think I found it. I present: OPI Can You Dig It, Color Club Ms. Socialite and P2 Chic.

Here they are on my nails, looking pretty.

I applied 2 coats of each and I have to add they all applied like a dream. Perfect! I realized two things after I doing this comparison:
1) I LOVE the P2 purple. It has the right amount of red and blue. Gorgeous!
2) Ms. Socialite is a ''close enough'' dupe of OPI Can You Dig It. XD

Let me know you thoughts!

New Rings

More new rings. I need help...
But then again - rings are almost as important as nail polish, right?

China Glaze Stella VS Risque Affair

China Glaze in Stella and Risque in Affair. Not exactly dupes, but close enough for me... Which is which?

I really need to purge my stash. It's getting too big and it's out of control. I don't need nail polish in every possible shade ever made (do I?), so I asked myself: if I wore Stella one day and Affair the next day, would anyone notice I changed my mani? Probably not.

I applied 2 coats of each.

Do you ever feel like your collection is getting too big? What do you do in that case: get rid of some polishes or go buy another helmer? =)

P.S: I choose Stella. What about you?

Men's Sunglasses

I bought myself a new pair of sunglasses the other day. Everything would be just fine if I hadn't checked the tags when I got home with them. Yeah, they're men's sunglasses!

I can't really tell women's from men's glasses, so I'm gonna pretend these are unisex. I'm gonna make them work. Hell, it's not like this is the first men's thing I'll be wearing. I often go to bed with men's underwear on, so here's one more thing you wish you didn't know about me. XD

If anyone is interested, I got these glasses in New Yorker for €7,95 (yay for cheap accessories). The case was €2,95.

Do you wear/use anything that was initially made for men?

Green Comparisons

Ready for another comparisons?

Let's see the mint shimmers (once again).

I already did a comparison between Catrice and Claire's, but this time I added Colorama in Absinto. I have to add I love this name. Green fairy indeed. =D The bottles are in the same order as above (from top to bottom): Catrice, Colorama, Claire's and Catrice one more time.

I applied two coats of each, but I guess I could apply another one. I'm not too happy with the opacity of these three. I am very happy with the color of Absinto though. It's my favorite one because it's colder and bluer than Catrice and Claire's. Absinto is the winner in my book.

And here are some random green cremes. For your pleasure. ;) Claire's Kelly Green, Risque Verde Esmeralda, Sally Hansen Mint Sprint and Orly Enchanted Forest.

Mint Sprint and Enchanted Forest took 2 coats, Kelly Green and Verde Esmeralda took 3 coats. Sally Hansen is the most opaque of them all (in 1 coat, but I added another one for depth). Claire's dries to a semi-matte finish while Risque is the only jelly in the group.

See anything you like?

Blue Creme Comparisons

I wasn't ''dupe hunting'' I just wanted to see how these look next to each other. Let's start with the medium blue cremes.

These are in the same order as on the photo above (from top to bottom). Andreia 11, Pure Ice French Kiss, Rivka Lia and China Glaze Bermuda Breakaway.

I used 2 coats of each. See how purple-ish Bermuda Breakaway looks? So pretty.

And here are the light blue cremes:

I used 2 coats of Blissfully Blue and Luiza and 3 coats of Factory Girl and Cigarette. Finger Paints is the most opaque and Risque is the least opaque. Cigarrete dries to a satin finish.

Which ones would you choose?

Almost There

I got sick. I have a flu or pneumonia or some other coughing related inconveniance. That explains the lack of posts here. I was in bed, sweating like a one-legged man at an arrse kicking contest.

Tomorrow is a new day and since my cat has been feeling neglected lately, I bet I'll have to spend a lot of time sitting in front of the computer with Aishila in my lap. That's how she likes to cuddle.

I have a couple of comparisons prepared for you, so don't forget to check back. ;)

a-england Nail Polish

I saw a promo for a-england nail polish on Aurora's Nails blog. The nail polish junkie in me wanted to know more about this unknown (at least to me) brand. If you're like me, you can learn more about a-england on their website HERE.

a-england is a new brand on the market and the quality of this nail polish is supposed to be on a salon level. There's one collection available online, called The Mythicals. Here are the colors from the collection (pay attention to the lovely names as well!):

I don't know much about these polishes, all I do know is that I really like the concept of England and royalty. Along with the names, this is a pure win in my book. I'm eyeing Lady of the Lake, Tristam and Galahad. They're to die for. And of course... you can also get a base coat (The Knight) and a top coat (The Shield) from the same brand.

If you're interested in buying this polish, you can get it on a-england online store for £9.50 per bottle. Yep, that's a lot. It better be worth it. ;)

What do you think of this brand, collection and colors?

KDDIS - Cuticle Oil

Here's another product from Born Pretty store I got for review: KDDIS Cuticle Oil. I got a ''six pack'' of oils in six different scents: apple, kiwi, pomegranate, peach, strawberry and orange. Please, don't ask me why it says ''apple oil'' on four out of six boxes. I have no idea.

I tried these cuticle oils and they're pretty much the same. The only difference between them is the scent, which is very subtle (too subtle IMO) - if you don't sniff your fingers while applying this oil, you won't even smell it. This oil comes in a pen-like packaging with a brush on one end. I think you all get the idea of how this thing is used.

So... I tried this stuff. And I hate it. First of all: I don't like the packaging. You have to twist one end in order to get the oil on the brush. You twist and twist and there's no oil... so you twist some more and suddenly you have a s*itload of oil on the brush. The other problem is the product itself. It just doesn't feel right. It's not oily, it's somehow sticky and I have a feeling like I put a lip gloss on my cuticles. This oil didn't soften my cuticles or make them look better. It just sat there on my fingers until I washed it off.

Here are the product's description, instructions and ingredients... If I typed it myself, you wouldn't believe it. This is first class Engrish.=)

I wouldn't recommend you to buy this product, but if you want to try it, you can buy it in Born Pretty online store.
