No animal should suffer like lab animals do. And it doesn't matter what the cause is. It's just not right and it should be stopped! Why am I talking about this? Well, I'm an animal lover and I also like cosmetics. I think it's wrong that we have to choose between cruelty free and non cruelty free brands. They should all be animal friendly, don't you agree?
Lush is one of the cruelty free brands and they came up with a brilliant (in my opinion) campaign - anti animal testing campaign. Some people say they went too far, but I say they did a great job. When it's ''just an animal'' many people can look away and pretend it's all OK, but when they put a live human being in there... shock! I do understand that some people can only feel empathy for other people and not animals, so I say - well done, Lush!

Good job spreading the word. I agree we should only purchase from cruelty free companies, if everyone did the other companies would have no choice but to change (for the better). I signed the petition!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bunny! I signed the leapingbunny.org pledge to go cruelty free about a year ago and have been only purchasing cruelty free (and on the lookout for vegan) products since. The next best thing other than knowing these products dont contribute to animal cruelty is that they are such better quality anyway! :D

It's so wrong! A lot of companies that don't test still use animal products though, unfortunately.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more. I saw the Lush thing a few days ago and applauded them. It's not fair that they take helpless animals that can't consent and do horrible things to them. And all for makeup? It's ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteI've signed the petition now! I think it's a real jungle out there to sort out which brands are doing animal testing and which are not, and unfortunately I haven't gone totally cruelty free with my purchases yet, but I'm trying my best to replace the products with cruelty free ones..
