Let me tell you about my new favorite top coat. As a quick reminder - I used to love Seche Vite (for it's speedy drying time) and later I found out about ''David'' which was basically the same as Seche but cheaper. Then I stopped using top coat for a while and started again with Essence Nail Art Sealing Top Coat which blew my socks off. And now I'm using BeautyBird Sun Seeking Girl UV Top Coat.

I got this top coat with some other items by BeautyBird for review and it took me a while before I first tried it. I'm just not that into top coats anymore. I mean - it's just another coat of polish and it doesn't make my manicure last any longer or dry that much faster. Huh, go read my top coat posts from previous years and listen to me now. Yeah, people change. Still, this top coat was waiting for me to try it. And so I did. My first impression:
- the formula is really thin/runny
- the brush is kind of stiff
- the brush picks up the color of my manicure and if I'm not to careful and quick with the application, it can also ruin it (bald spots)
But then I realized something else. All that stuff from above is true, but this top coat dried my manicure SO fast I couldn't believe it. It's definitely one of the fastest drying I've tried so far. Faster than Seche and faster than Essence. Maybe because it's thin, maybe it's the formula... Now I've learned how to apply it without ruining my mani (dragging the color all over my nails) and it rocks! It gives my nails a really high shine and they're dry in a matter of minutes.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

That drying time is amazing. Do you use it under a UV lamp or is that just a name?
ReplyDeleteThanks for reminding me: it's just a regular top coat. You don't need an UV light to cure it, it dries by itself. =)
Deletehow about the ingredients?
ReplyDeleteDon't know about it yet. I'm still waiting for the list from the BeautyBird owners.
DeleteI'll have to give this a try! My favourite top coat at the moment is Nails inc Kensington Caviar top coat. I stopped using Seche Vite because it contains formaldehyde(an EMBALMING agent...which freaked me out,YIKES),and started using Poshe, but the Nails inc beats that one by far!
ReplyDeleteDoes it make your manicure last longer?
ReplyDeleteNot really. It all depends on the polish I'm wearing. But it doesn't make my manicure chip either.
ReplyDeletePrvič slišim za tega. Kje si ga pa kupila?
DeleteV Ljubljani, tukaj: http://www.studiomaya.si/storitve-prodaja_magnetic_izdelkov.html. Ampak če nisi nič v LJ, jih lahko tudi pokličeš in ti izdelke pošljejo tudi na dom. :) Jaz sem res zadovoljna in sem pomislila, da bi bil ta nadlak mogoče všeč tudi tebi. ;)
DeleteSounds good, but the Essence is so easy to get for me and so cheap, I think I won't ever be bothered trying something else.
