I often say there's not a lot of new things they can come up with when it comes to nail polish. I mean, it's not like they can invent a new color, right? But they do keep trying new finishes (I'm still waiting for an OPI Black Spotted rip-off) and Barry M came up with the Chameleon Colour Changing Nail Effects.
''Magical Chameleon instant nail effects means you have two colours in one! Instructions: 1) Apply a basecoat and then apply one coat of your chameleon nail paint and allow to dry. 2) Apply second coat and allow to dry. 3) Create a design with your clear nail paint and watch it change colour.'' (Barry M)
It's a nail polish that changes color once you apply top coat over it. How cool is that? It's perfect for those who like to play with scotch tape and nail polish. Anyway. Chameleon Colour Changing Nail Effects come in three colors: lilac, pink and blue. The stripe on the cap of the polish shows the color to which the polish changes once top coat is applied.
Color drops are pretty random (read: not that interesting at all).

Let's see the swatches... I applied 1-2 coats of nail polish on my nails and a top coat on my middle finger nail and pinkie.

The instructions say to use a base coat, two coats of chameleon nail paint and top coat where desired. I didn't use the base coat, because these polishes have a chrome-like features. That means they're easier to apply on bare nails - usually one coat of this polish is enough for full opacity. Once you apply top coat, the color starts to change. Blue to burgundy/plum, lilac to blurple chrome and pink to purple. Blue is my favorite. The color by itself is great, but when you apply top coat you get a magical ''Peel Me a Gobi Grape'' type of plum color. Pink one is great as well - the purple shade it turns to is really bright and special. I'm not to crazy about the lilac one, because it looks too chrome-y. And I only like silver and gold chrome shades.
All three polishes are good to work with. They're one coaters, but some will need 2 coats for better color change effect. They apply like chromes, which means they'll inhance every bump and ridge on your nails. Maybe that's why they recommend to use a base coat underneath.
*Polishes were sent to me by Ličila.si for swatching purposes.
