I finally found the new Essence Colour & Go polishes! The store didn't have all the shades, but I still think I managed to get some pretty ones. Can't wait to see the whole new line... until then, here are 7 of the new shades.
From L to R: Grey-t To Be Here, I'm the Boss, I'm Bluetiful, Date in the Moonlight, Chic Reloaded, Oh My Glitter, Stuck on You.

And the verdict? I absolutely adore the new bottles. They're curvy and chic and that's more than I can say about the old ones. The thing I don't like is the new brush. It's still flat, like in the old bottles, but it's wider, shorter and rounded at the end. I personally find it harder to paint my nails with the new brush. Maybe that's because I wanna be really precise with the application - some of the ladies will definitely like it for it's width.
The formula was good and most of the shades needed 2 coats for full opacity. With some of them 1 might be enough. The only exception is Oh My Glitter which is a 3 coater (in my case).
So, to sum it up - I like:
+ new bottle shape
+ 8mL bottle instead of the old 5mL one
+ interesting new colors and finishes
+ price (1,69 €)
I don't like:
- the new brush

I picked up quite a few of these yesterday, and wore Grey-t to be here. I wrote a post yesterday about it, and saying how much I LOVE the brush! But then again I love flat, wide, curved brushes.

ReplyDeleteEssence promenio zastupnika za Srbiju - zato su ukinuli stalak sa posebnim lakovima na ona 2 i po mestima na kojima ih je i bilo, a i ovi obicni stalci im zvrje prazni, sa starim bocicma i one tri blede i smedje nijanse (a sa punom cenom - dakle, nije rasciscavanje pred novu kolekciju).
Ne znam sta da ocekujem, posebno posle onoga sa promenom zastupnika u Flormarovom slucaju...
I like Oh My Glitter. Pity it needs three coats for full opacity. I wish Chic Reloaded were a tad lighter. It reminds me of all those Mac Club/TF Label Whore eyeshadows.

Mislim, da si kupila vse tiste, nad katerimi sem se sama navduševala. Potem sem si izbrala I'm the Boss, ampak vidim, da bo še nekaj jih moralo iti z mano, sploh Grey-t to be here me je impresioniral. Sicer so pa tudi meni nove stekleničke zelo všeč. Čopič moram pa še preizkusiti. :) Čudoviti swatchi, kot vedno. <3
ReplyDeleteJa, kot sem že rekla, trgovina ni imela vseh novih odtenkov, zato sem izbrala najbolj zanimive med tistimi, ki so bili na voljo. Sedaj opažam, da sem kupila večino mojih favoritov s preview slik. =) Še Walk on the Wild Side moram dobiti, pa sem dobra. He he

Yes, Chic Reloaded is similar to Where's the Party. They're both green with purple flash (duochrome), but Chic Reloaded is darker and opaque in 2 coats whilst WtP needs three coats. It's definitely not the same polish.

ReplyDeleteMed tvojimi izbranci so mi najbolj všeč tisti temni, ampak vem, da jih sama ne bi nosila, ker bi večino časa izgledali črni. :( Me je pa na nek poseben način očaral "Grey-t to be here", ki mi deluje tako ... londonsko, sofisticirano deževen.
In prisežem, da ni zaradi OI, ker itak nimam filinga, da se odvijajo v Londonu. :D
No, vsaj za nekoga. Priznam, da sem s temi širokimi čopiči štorasta, da ni za verjet. =) Tisti iz starih Colour & Go stekleničk so bili najboljši.

ReplyDeleteSami sivi in modrikasti odtenki, ki so vsi čudoviti in že na moji WL, razen morda Chic Reloaded (duo in multichromi me nekako ne pritegnejo). Me pa Grey-t To Be Here rahlo spominja na en siv odtenek iz Vampire's Love kolekcije, z razliko, da ima tale nek roza odblesk in tisti je imel neke 'mušje flekce', drugače mi je pa baza zelo podobna

ReplyDeleteI'm really happy that they keept the colored cap because it makes it soooo much easy to store. It's actually the only brand i've seen that does that and i love it.

It's a stunner!!!!!!! =0) it's like a greed out navy type color and the shimmer is more glass fleck than glitter - in blue, green, and purple!!! I swear its so gorgeous!!! I also love I'm The boss! It's got so many different shapes of the silver-y shimmer/glitter... It's also very special. WAY TO GO ESSENCE!!! These new C&G polished ROCK!!!!! These pix rock, too btw.. =0)
ReplyDeleteI'm kinda disappointed by the new line. I think the brush is really annoying (to big) and the price is something I dislike, just like the colors. It's actually the first time I dislike new Essence products.

ReplyDeleteChic Reloaded is perfect, it's one of my favorite polishes lately. The rest of the collection disappointed me, not my type of colors. I agree about the new brush.
