Moving on with FNUG nail polish swatches. Supermodel:
''This is your signature, coral nail varnish for the cosmopolitan woman who has everything. High flying as a supermodel you are in control and ready to explore Seychelles, South Beach, Gold Coast or wherever the sun is out. Luscious as your strawberry mojito.'' (FNUG)

FNUG, Supermodel, 3 coats

Supermodel is a tricky one to describe when it comes to color. It's right in between. Not orange and not coral, but both at the same time. Confusing? I'll just say it's salmon. And my camera wanted to die while photographing it.
Small, nice brush, great application and just as great formula. I needed to apply 3 thin coats for the purposes of photographing (when every little detail and bald spot can be seen), but you could get away with 2 (slightly thicker) coats.
It's weird how sometimes color of the polish comes out pretty accurate with the help of my lightbox and old camera - not in this case though. The photo below represents the polish best. Orange with a hint of pink. The most perfect salmon ever.

*Polish was sent to me for review.
So, what do you think of this shade?
Thanks for looking and commenting!

Awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome!
ReplyDeleteHeehee... guess you're a new fan of this shade. =D
DeleteDefinetely. It reminds me of summer, fun, friendship and all of those great things. :)
DeleteWow, tale mi je pa zelo všeč! Zadnje čase padam na takele barve, super lepo. <3
ReplyDeleteZačuda je meni tudi precej všeč. =) Eni pravijo, da je bolj za poletje, meni pa se zdi, da je perfektna za tole megleno jesen.
DeleteSuch a beautiful shade! What I love about shades like this is that they give me an instant "tanned" look (at least at my hands!)
ReplyDeleteExactly. I was just looking and my photos of Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans and compared them to the photos of Supermodel. My hands look a couple of shades darker when I'm wearing this color.
Deletefnug sounds like something you say instead of a real curse, like fuck haha!!
ReplyDeleteas always your nails look like fab!!! you have some painting skills that blows my mind!
and as nail queen, i just have to wonder a thing from you considering models own polishes. I did my nails yesterday with models own and somehow when it sets bubbles start to show from underneath the polish! so weird. my nails look like caviar nails. this is not the first time with models own! has this happen to you too?
it looks cool, but sometimes i just want the duochrome to be even you know!?
have a nice weekend!/Azure
It does, doesn't it? I have to ask Charlotte (the owner of the brand) about that. =)
DeleteI don't remember having any problems with bubbling of Models Own polishes. I rarely have that problem... Have you tried: not shaking the bottle before applying the polish, waiting for the first coat to really dry before applying second one, applying thin coats...?
Hm i will have to try that, but ironicly it says on the bottle to shake well before use and thats what i did haha! But i will try to be patient when painting the nails in thin coats.
DeleteBut have you ever had this problem at all?? I love their colours and all but this brings it down a bit!
Thanks a lot for your tips! If you want to see my nails they're up on instagram, we're eyegraffiti there too!!!
Thanks again!!/Azure
"Fnug" means lint or fluff. Pretty random name for a polish brand :)
DeleteThis looks like a shade I would like to wear in summertime, it's very pretty!
ReplyDeleteHi :) I'm a longtime reader of your fabulous blog, and I've finally decided to comment today :) I just wanted to say that I think it's great that you feature different polishes from most of the other blogs out there. I love your blog because it gives me a chance to notice some new brands :) I'm Danish, but I hadn't heard of this brand before seeing it on your blog, haha.
