The only thing from the Essence Fantasia Trend Edition that caught my attention is this nail polish in Elves Like Lilac.
It's one of those purples that won't photograph like they're supposed to. It looks very cool toned and almost blue-ish in my photos, but it's actually warm. This is what it looks like in real life:

I'm more fond of the purples that lean towards the blue, but I find this one quite nice. Lilac with multi-colored micro shimmer that gives it an almost frosty look. But not too much - we all know I don't like frosty finish. The only thing that bothers me with this polish is that I had to use 3 coats for full opacity. I'm not sure what happened, because it looks like it could be a 2-coater. Since it was still pretty patchy and see-through on some nails, I had to use the third coat. Maybe the coats were too thin... The application was great and so was the formula. Plus the brush was flat and not bushy. Just the way I like it!

ReplyDeleteI can't say for sure, because I don't own Poke, but it reminded me of it as well. Based on photos of both polishes, I think they are similar, but not dupes. Poke seems deeper and a bit darker.
