Yeah, yeah... I know. Magnetic polishes are so passé. But it doesn't hurt if I show them to you anyway, does it? MUA Magnetic Nails come in six shades and two magnet effects: circle and squiggle.
''Magnetic Polish is the most exciting nail polish! Create an amazing nail art effect in just seconds with this unique magnetic polishes and two amazing designs - circle and squiggle!'' (MUA)

Color drops show off the finishes a little bit better: Kings Road and Piccadilly Circus are glitters and the others are shimmer polishes.

MUA, Kings Road, 2 coats

MUA, Leicester Square, 2 coats

MUA, Mayfair, 2 coats

MUA, Park Lane, 2 coats

MUA, Piccadilly Circus, 2 coats

MUA, Regent Street, 2 coats

To get straight to the point: I've tried both better and worse magnetic polishes. When it comes to quality of the polishes themselves, I have nothing much to say. The formula is good and even the brush is not bad like with some other MUA polishes I've tried. All shades are opaque in 2 coats, which is perfect since you need to apply 2 coats with the magnetic polishes anyway. The main problem with these polishes is in the magnet. I'm not sure what squiggle magnet is supposed to do. A zig-zag pattern? Well, I couldn't do it. It just didn't work for me no matter how I turned it. The circle one works, but I prefer other patterns. And to show you, there's nothing wrong with the polishes, here's how they look with my old diagonal magnet I got from KKcenterHK:

As you can see, they all created a pattern. It's the magnet I guess...
You can buy MUA Magnetic Nails on MUA website or Ličila.si (if you're from Slovenia).

ReplyDeleteI love magnetics and my circular magnet is my fave!
ReplyDeleteMayfair in Regent street sta krasna, ostali me pustijo bolj ali manj hladno.
ReplyDeleteI think I like King's Road and Piccadilly Circus best, but magnetic polishes never work out well for me (and I've tried!) so thankfully no must-haves.
ReplyDeleteI do really like the circular magnet though... :D
they are funny, like magic spells :D
ReplyDeletewow!! amazing colors!!! o.o
ReplyDeleteI love all of them! :]
ReplyDeletewow really cool Swatches. Du you know if I can get several different magnets with different patterns from other companies ? Do you also know which one sell them?
ReplyDeleteI think polishes are sold with one magnet only. But I got some magnets from KKcenterHK (three in one): http://www.nihrida.com/2012/02/review-kkcenterhk-ouqian-magnetic-nail.html
DeleteYou can also try Ebay. Magnets are really cheap there.
savršeni su!
ReplyDeleteI love these, I have Mayfair and plan on buying King's Road and Regent Street. I get that squiggly effect, not perfect but it's visible. And I see it on your photo of Mayfair. They are good and cheap, chip off soon at the end of nail but for that price, it pays off.
