a England - Briarwood (Burne-Jones Dream Collection)

Here it is. We've been waiting for this one a bit longer than the rest of the a England Burne-Jones Dream Collection shades. And it was worth waiting for. I present Briarwood

Briarwood is the 5th shade from the Burne-Jones Dream collection inspired by the story of Sleeping Beauty through the eyes of an artist Edward Burne-Jones. It's a gorgeous deep maroon (reddish brown) shade with a gentle veil of holographic shimmer over it. It looks magical. There's no other way to say it. The shimmer looks almost like it's dancing on the surface of the polish which looks so deep on the nails. I'm trying not to get to poetic (like I know how), but this is exactly why I fell in love with a England polishes in the first place. The mysticism, the history and art behind the shades and the colors themselves... Art. Love. Beauty.

EDIT: I was so mesmerized by Briarwood, I forgot to mention it's flawless formula, brush and great opacity. It's opaque in 1 coat - although I used 2 for my swatches as always.

I wanted to capture Briarwood in it's full glory, but I didn't succeed. Still, you can see the base color here - a deep shimmery maroon. Sometimes it looks more on the red side and the other times it's bronzed brown.

My Nikon to the rescue. When I realized the lack of sun and my old camera aren't gonna do much, I took out the big weapon. Here's a photo of Briarwood - with flash - where you can see a little bit of the magic I see on my nails. It's alive! Again, great job, Adina! =)
