My BF reminded me I haven't done weekly sum-up in a while... he also said he's probably the only one reading it anyways, so ... (in poor british accent) thank you, darrrling!
What better way to start this post than with a photo of a
slightly crazy cat. Arya is the weird one. When I asked my mom which of my 5 cats is the weirdest, she immediatelly said her name. And she was right. But I still love you, my little orange warrior.
I bought a new compact camera a week ago and it makes pretty good photos with high ISO. I know the quality isn't great, but now you can at least see my two little cavy beasts. I don't like to use flash when taking photos of them for two reasons: 1) I don't want to scare them. 2) Peppa (the white/grey one - hmmm... I should've called it Gandalf!) has red eyes and when I take photos of her with flash, she looks like a creature that came straight from hell. Pippi's eyes are so beautiful though - warm brown, but you can't see them 'cause of her 'mop' hairstyle. FYI: They're both facing the camera.
Talking about creatures. Our yard was full of spiders this summer. And not just any spiders, but big wasp spiders (Argiope Bruennichi). I mean... they were everywhere. I don't have anything against spiders, but when I almost bumped into the web with one of these sitting in the middle of it, I've suffered a mini heart attack. Although they look scary, these females are pretty harmless (at least to us, people - if I was a grassgopper, I'd be gone by now).
Moving on. I wore a lot of polish in the last few weeks, but I only took photos of two manicures. The first one was a England's one coater black in Camelot.
And the second one was Gallery Colours in Black Sparkle. It's boring, but I'm being true to myself. The armor ring is relatively new - got it on Ebay for $2.83 (free shipping).
Me about three weeks ago: ''Dying my hair red? Whoa, what a great idea!'' NOT! I got the most red red I could find - Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color in Vibrant Red - and thought it would look great on dark hair with just a hint of red. Of course. I died my hair and after I rinsed the color my head looked like someone hit me with a hammer. Multiple times. I had to wash my head three times to get the color off my scalp. And the hair? It looks pretty much like it did before only now I have red roots. I've washed my hair about 7-8 times since and it's still washing off SO MUCH. And the towels are still red... Never again.
It does look red under the right angle, but... Meh.
I fell in love. But then again, I fall in love so easily. I'm a book slut. I read the Laini Taylor's books: Daughter of Smoke & Bone and Days of Blood & Starlight. And I'm in love! Prague, art, demons and angels and love. One of the best love story fantasy books I've read. Ever. Can't wait the next part. I recommend!
You'd think a move starring Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman would be good, right? Well, it turns out it's not. Now You See Me is a movie full of it. Shit that is. And even Woody can't save it.
Oh dear, where to start with The Mortal Instruments book & movie... I actually liked the book and kind of fell in love with Jace (being the book tramp I am) so I wanted to see the movie too. Sure, the actors aren't too hard to look at, but what's with the story?! So many changes. And the writer (Cassandra Clare) approved it, so... I guess it IS all about the money. Easily forgettable anyways.
Despicable me 2 is not as good as the first one, but good enough. It's just not as fluffy as it should be. Minions are still great and I'm waiting for them to get their own movie.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know it's already over, but I just started watching it. I didn't tell you spoilers from Game of Thrones, so be nice and don't tell me spoilers from Breaking Bad, okay?
Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Dracula? Yes, please. The first episode was a bit boring though. I hope it will go up from here.
Planning on getting a new tattoo while touching up the old one. I did a quick sketch for the new one, but I'm still not sure whether I want it in B&W with a hint of color or full color. I still have two weeks 'till my appointment to figure it out.
This is the new camera I was telling you about: Nikon Coolpix S3500. It's super small and it comes in a lot of fun colors. I bought the black one, of course. I'm just boring like that.
Coolpix S3500 doesn't have a lot of manual settings, it's more of a point-and-shoot type of camera with a bunch of scene settings and effects. It has 20.1 mexapixels and 7x optical zoom with lens-shift vibration reduction. My old Traveler digital camera is so old, I'm afraid it will die on me... That's why I got this backup camera. It's not the best, but for the money, it's pretty good. The rose and flower photos below are both shot with Nikon Coolpix S3500.
I did another painting, this a very small one. It's only 20x20 cm. Acrylic colors on canvas.
There will be no post links this time. There were just too many great posts in the last weeks and I can't link them all. Next time, I promise.
Thanks for looking and commenting!
