Weekly Sum-Up #60

I know I haven't been posting much here in the last week, but I promised myself to make weekly sum ups as frequent as possible...

My BF's best friend went to USA for two weeks (for bussiness) and he got me a little present. You can imagine how shocked I was when he handed me this purple nail polish. I believe he went to the CVS and picked this shade for me. He admited he was confused by all the shades, but picked the one he though would be the best for me. Sexy Divide. How appropriate, since this is my favorite Essie shade. =) It's actually a lot darker in real life, but I'll get to swatching it some other time.

My sister talked me into buying Misslyn Leather Look nail polish a month ago. It's nothing that special (a regular gritty effect polish) but I love the way it looks on me. It's rough and edgy, but not uncomfortable to wear (if that makes any sense). The texture didn't bother me at all. This shade is called Overknees. Swatches and detailed review are coming soon.

Washing my brushes. Something I should do more often, but then again - I don't wear make up that much anyway. It's an important make up chore that's also quite time consuming (especially due to washing out the soap). I used regular soap and water and let them dry facing slightly downwards. Job well done! My face tells me when my brush is too dirty - I get little bumps on my cheeks (where I use the blusher) and then it's time to wash the hell out of it.

As mentioned above, I rarely do my make up using eyeshadow and everything that comes with it. And when I do, I do it the same way as always. The most interesting thing is I don't think it makes my eyes prettier (like I did a few years ago). Well, I guess we all change. P.S: I don't know what the hell Blogger did to my photos. They look kind of watercolor-y uploaded... while the photo on my disc is much more crisp. Anyone knows what's up with that?

I ordered some art supplies from Jackson's Art Supplies - and now I finally own drawing ink (in gold and silver) and Bristol Board paper. I've been wanting it for forever and it's impossible to get it here in Slovenia.

Testing the paper and ink. Bristol Board is very smooth which makes it easy to blend the pencils, but I wonder if it's any good for colored pencils too...

How could I resist buying these boots @ Deichmann when they reminded me of one thing...

Mad Max. I grew up watching this movie every 6 months. Say what you want, it's BADASS. Yeah, my boots aren't quite there, but I do feel badass wearing them, so mission accomplished.

One boots aren't enough. I'm eyeing these Manfield boots as well. For my 'motorcycle riding' mood swings. I'm still convincing myself I don't need them, but who knows if I'll be able to restrain.

You could see my tattoo sketch in my previous weekly sum-up. I had my tattoo appointment on Thursday and I think it all went pretty well. I also had my arm tattoo touched up and now I'm healing on both sides. Imagine Sheldon Cooper sleeping. Well, that's how it looks when I sleep now. =D

Talking about body changes... My piercings are retiring due to migration issues. I've had them for almost 10 years and they've become a part of me. It sounds weird, but I feel incomplete without them. And a bit sad. But it is what it is. Maybe I'll get pierced once again... Who knows.

Today was the day I met a fellow blogger Moonchild. This was my first time meeting a blogger and it was really fun. Nuša is a very smart, interesting and beautiful young girl. I just hope she won't kill me for stealing this photo from her FB account. =)

Posts of the week:

Ilknur from My Passion... posted swatches of China Glaze Fancy Pants. My jaw dropped and Fancy Pants finished on my wishlist.

How to resist Sam's gorgeous swatches on her Fashion Polish blog? She posted photos of the new piCture pOlish Collaboration Shades (Imperial is to die for), swatches of the OPI San Francisco Collection (I fell in love with Muir Muir on the Wall) and photos of the Love Thy Polish shades (Beautiful Mistake I love thee!).

I don't fancy many Deborah Lippmann polish shades, but when it comes to Harem Silks from Bombay, I'm sold. All thanks to a blog and it's owner whose name I cannot spell. Or read.

Chelsea from The Nail Network swatched the Zoya Zenith Collection. Belinda is my favorite.

My favorite stamping of the week is definitely the one by Deborah from Love. Varnish, chocolate and more... She used OPI My Vampire Is Buff & Too Fancy Lacquer Chocolate Gold. The result is simply stunning.

The Swatchaholic thinks she has found the hottest pink holo in NailNation 3000 Amaze-Ballz. I won't argue with that. It does look pretty hot. =)

Another beautiful sample of stamping was made by Natalia from Nailz Craze. Her Dreamy Manicure surely does look dreamy. Mad stamping skills.

Masha (can't spell the name of her blog either) posted 'out of this world' gorgeous swatches of Cirque Lichen nail polish. Look and be amazed.

Music video of the week: It's actually the video of the last two days... but I love it.
