Design Glassware by Mont Bleu

I already told you about the great Mont Bleu glass/crystal nail files, but that's not the only thing you can find on their website Design Glassware by Mont Bleu. They offer a great variety of products for you or your friends and they're great as a gift as well. I got a bunch of their stuff for Christmas and some items not so long ago. Let me show them to you...
Mont Bleu Products

Two glass nail files: one with my zodiak sign and the other with Swarovski crystals.
Mont Bleu Nail Files

Austrian Crystal Earrings - these faceted earrings are gorgeous. They reflect every color of the rainbow without looking cheap. Although they're adorable, they're not my cup of tea - my sister adores them though. She wears them at least once a week. =) These ones cost 8,00 €.

Aurora Crystal Earrings - made with Aurora Boreal Swarovski crystals. These are so cute and delicate - they'd look good on every girly girl. Real gems. They cost 8,00 €.
Mont Bleu Aurora Crystal Earrings

Another glass nail file with Swarovski elements. This one goes for 10,00 €. And it's great - just like any other Mont Bleu glass file I've tried. You can't really go wrong with these. You just need to choose your favorite design, which is pretty hard considering all the different color combinations.

Compact mirror in Purple Sun with two mirrors: one standard and one magnifying. This one comes in a leatherette gift box and is decorated with Swarovski crystals. It costs 12,00 €.

piCture pOlish - White Wedding

Hey, little sister, what have you done? Hey, little sister, who's the only one? ... Sorry, I just can't help it. The only thing that goes through my mind is this Billy Idol song. It's appropriate since White Wedding is the name of the polish by piCture pOlish I'm about to show you in today's post.
''White Wedding was created with Leah Ann from Llarowe forms part of our Collaboration collection.  Does Leah Ann fancy rockers from the eighties?  She asked for a 'platinum white with rainbows' and then advised it would be called White Wedding. White Wedding is not a holo, not a multi chromatic and not a glitter.  It has a mystery effect that is just magical (you will not see it in our photo) so you really need to see White Wedding in person!'' (piCture pOlish)

On a nice day, you might wanna paint your nails with a polish like this. It doesn't have to be your wedding day, although it would be an appropriate color.
Picture Polish - White Wedding by Llarowe

This is where the magic is happening. The flaky shimmer gives the most amazing effect when the light hits it. It's not really visible in photos, but it can be easily seen in real life.

White Wedding is a beautiful muted white color with tons of flaky shimmer in all of the colors of the rainbow. It looks much more sparkly in real life, I just couldn't get the shimmer to show on my photos properly. I had minor problems with the application - the shimmer is really dense, which makes the polish feel a tad goopy. I used three coats for my swatches, but I could use 2 for a sheer look. If you like clean, white-ish shades with a little twist, you're gonna love this one.

Swatches & Review: Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint

I got some Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints by Barry M in my mail today and they're swatched already. Talking about ''can't wait to try them''... The important thing is I have a good experience with these. Just a reminder - there are 13 different shades in the Gelly nail effect line, I only have swatches of 8 of them.

You know (or maybe not) I'm not a big fan of jelly nail polish finish and that's exactly what I thought I was gonna get with these polishes. The truth is they only have the best of the jelly finish polish features and that's high glossy shine. I kid you not. They're really glossy and I love it!
Most of them are 2 coaters. That was another surprise for me. I expected watery polishes with some color, but some of them are actually quite pigmented. Pomegranate, Blood Orange, Watermelon and Blackberry have awesome opacity and could be 1-coaters in some cases. The least opaque were Pricky Pear and Papaya which both needed 3 coats for full opacity.
The brush is small but it spreads over the nail wonderfully. I had no problems with the application since the formula is superb on all of them. To be completely honest, I got much more than I thought I was gonna get. These polishes are pretty much great.

My Slovenian readers can get Barry M polishes on Ličila.si website.

Ebay Buy: Eye Rock Eye Tattoo

Ebay Buy: Eye Rock Eye Tattoo

Sometimes I buy an item just for fun. That was the case with these Eye Rock Eye Tattoos I got off Ebay for a mere $0.99. As it turned out, they're easy to use and have a good effect. There are also some downsides... but more after we take a closer look at the tattoos.
Ebay Buy: Eye Rock Eye Tattoo

You get two tattoos in the package: one for your left and the other for your right eye. The design is protected with plastic sheet which you take off before applying the tattoo. It works the same as those tattoos we used as kids.
Ebay Buy: Eye Rock Eye Tattoo

How to apply the eye tattoo:
- Make sure the area around your eyes is clean and free of any beauty product.
- Remove the plastic sheet off the design.
- Place the design on your eyes and go over the paper with a piece of wet sponge. Make sure it's really wet and not just damp. The paper will come off once the design adheres to the skin.
- Wait for a couple of minutes before applying any other makeup.

As you can see, my tattoo cracked a little, but I was surprised how quickly it sticked to my skin. It felt sticky for a minute before it dried completely. Later I could apply my make up without problems and the tattoo didn't bother me at all (no tugging or weird feeling). I had some troubles removing the tattoo, but in the end oil based waterproof make up remover did the job. Eye Tattoos aren't for everyday use, but I think they're great for special occasions... I didn't think I'd like it that much. They're cheap, they look quite nice and are very easy to use.

Have you tried this kind of eye tattoos?

piCture pOlish - Festival

There was a flakie in my piCture pOlish package and it's time to show it off. This one is called Festival.

piCture pOlish, Festival, 2 coats (over Wet'n'Wild Black Creme, 1 coat)

Festival is kind of a top coat polish, since it need a base color to show it's flakies. The base look yellow-ish, but it's basically clear, so you can use it over whichever color you want. As you can see, the flakies come in every color of the rainbow and they change color depending on the angle. I used two coats of Festival over Wet n Wild Black Creme.

Outdoors, in the shade:

You can buy Festival nail polish in piCture pOlish online store for AU$12.00. Check out their Network Page to find the sellers near you.

Catrice - Squeeze Me

I just love this type of shades: dark with a twist. One of the new Catrice shades that immediately caught my attention is Squeeze Me
Catrice Nail Polish in Squeeze Me

Catrice, Squeeze Me, 2 coats
Catrice Nail Polish in Squeeze Me

Squeeze Me is a green-ish grey shade with golden green shimmer. It looks quite dark on the nails but the shimmer gives it a special shine. I like it a lot. It's a true 2-coater, but the brush is (what a surprise) a pain in the ass. Its stiff bristles made lines in the polish on my nails and when I tried to 'wrap the tips' it just got worse. Man, I really wish they'd listen and learn.

My Favorites From the AW 2013/2014 Fashion Shows

I've always had a passion for fashion. As a little girl, I used to draw different types of clothing, pretending I'm a designer... and I even made my own Barbie clothes. I stopped doing that, but my heart still skips a beat when I see a creation I like. The fabrics, models, different textures and aesthetics. Beauty and art. That's how I see it. I love leather and similar rough materials combined with fragile lace and flowing materials, embroidery and fake fur details. I don't care for fashion when it comes to wearing the latest trends, but I do care for fashion as something beautiful and creative.

I spent the last few days browsing through the photos of Autumn-Winter fashion shows for 2013/2014. Here are my favorite designs:
