Swatches & Review: Dance Legend Top Prismatic

I have something special for all the holographic nail polish lovers out there... The new-ish Dance Legend Top Prismatic. It's basically a holographic top coat you can layer over any nail polish you like and change it into a holo shade. Sounds great, right?

When you look at the bottle, it doesn't look like anything too special. Just a silvery holographic polish. The difference is, its base is more on the sheer side, but still has a lot of holo shimmer in it.

I tried layering Top Prismatic it over some different nail polish shades to see how it looks over certain colors. I used (from top to bottom): P2 Chic, Essence The Boy Next Door, Barry M Gelly Watermelon and Essence You're a Heartbreaker. As you can see, it works just as well over shimmery shades as it does over regular creme polish.

I finally got my brown holographic shade (which isn't that easy to find). Essence Spicy with Top Prismatic.

Over S-he Stylezone 466. The shade which reminds me a lot of Essie Armed and Ready (before the holo goodness).

Over one of my favorite red cremes - Tip Top Red Rendezvous.

I used one coat of Dance Legend Top Prismatic over most of the bases above and I can honestly say this is one of my very favorite top coats so far. No more buying all the overpriced holo shades, because you can now make your own. All you need is your existing stash and a bottle of Top Prismatic. The formula is great and thin, which allows you to apply thin layer. You have to be careful with the amount of top coat on your brush, because it does show when one of your nails gets more holo love from the others. Another little downside is that Top Prismatic tends to change the base color a bit, leaving it somewhat more foggy looking. If you don't mind that, then you're gonna love this one just as much as I do. I give it two thumbs up!

You can buy Top Prismatic on Dance Legend online store for 9.00 USD. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
