So, there was this full display of Essence Beach Cruisers trend edition in my local drugstore. I didn't mean to buy anything, but one thing led to another and I got these two 'sparkling sand finish' polishes. My only picks from the collection: Girls Just Wanna Have Sun and Keep Calm and Go to the Beach.
Girls Just Wanna Have Sun, 2 coats
Girls Just Wanna Have Sun is a true coral/salmon shade and is not as orange as it appears on the photos. It's hard to photograph and there's not much I can do about it. It's filled with pink and orange shimmer which doesn't show too much, but is definitely visible. It took 2 coats for full opacity and the formula was very easy to work with.
Keep Calm and Go to the Beach, 2 coats
Keep Calm and Go to the Beach is a turquoise shade with green and yellow shimmer. Very similar to its coral sibling when it comes to quality of the formula, application and finish. It took 2 coats for full opacity. It has a flat brush that's amazing to work with (one of the reasons I keep buying Essence TE nail polishes is the flat - non bushy brush). This one might leave your fingernails slightly stained, so be careful and apply a layer of base coat underneath.
There are also a red and gold shade available from the same trend edition, but they didn't look interesting enough for me. Well, I just thought they wouldn't suit me anyway. I doubt I'll be wearing these two anytime soon, but it's nice to have something new to add to the collection. ;)
What do you think about my picks?
