Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Oh, make up! When exactly did our paths go their separate ways? I still manage to put on a bit of black eyeshadow instead of an eyeliner and some mascara every morning, but that's about it. Adding some blush to the cheeks if I'm feeling extra good... That's why I like to get the most out of my mascara. I like voluminous, long lashes, but don't fancy that 'spider-y' mascara look.

I was contaced by Stephanie (Younique Independet Presented), who said she found THE best mascara and offered to send me one to review. And that's how I got my own Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes mascara thingy. It comes in a black case with Younique logo on it.

There are two items in the case: transplanting gel and natural fibers. Both come in the same form as your regular mascara and are supposed to provide a 300% increase in thickness and volume to your lashes while still looking natural. Sounds nice, huh?

How to use the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes:
1 - Apply a thin coat of your favorite regular mascara and let dry.
2 - Apply even coat of Transplanting Gel to your lashes.
3 - Immediately, before gel has time to dry, apply Natural Fibers onto lashes.
4 - Seal the fibers with another coat of gel.

Ingredients: Transplanting Gel: Water, Beeswax (Natural Propolis), Carnauba (Brazilian Palm Glue), Iron Oxide CI 77499 (black), Collagen, Acrylates Copolymer, Nylon, Stearic Acid, Propylene Glycol. Natural fibers: 100% Natural Green Tea Fibers.

Transplant gel on the left and natural fibers on the right.

Here's a little step by step demonstration: bare lashes, lashes with a coat of my current favorite mascara (Essence I Love Extreme Crazy Volume) and with a coat of Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes.

Things I like:
* Good packaging and easy application - it applies just like any mascara.
* The effect - longer and fuller lashes without clumping them too much.
* Natural fibers. Well, I don't know if they're truly made of green tea and if so... why are they black, but they're certainly better from the other synthetic fibers.

Things I'm not mad about:
* The price.
* After a while, I get some fibers on my upper eyelid (from lashes touching the skin) - serves me right for having my lashes so long and voluptuous. ;)
