Urban Shades is a new 2014 piCture pOlish collection which consists of 4 creme shades: Totes - milky orange, Chillax - mint green, Swagger - periwinkle and Bonkers - warm purple/plum.
Here are my swatches of all four shades. The first photo is a representation of the polish under artificial lighting and the second one is shot outdoors on natural lighting.
piCture pOlish, Totes, 2 coats
piCture pOlish, Chillax, 2 coats
piCture pOlish, Swagger, 2 coats
piCture pOlish, Bonkers, 2 coats
The quality of these polishes is very consistent. They all have great formulas and the application can be described as buttery... it seems the polish applies itself. =) I know it sounds weird, but you'd know what I'm talking about if you tried them out for yourselves. These are definitely one of the best creme polishes I've tried in quite a while. Not only is the application a piece of cake, the brush is flat and pretty much perfect. It allows you to apply the polish very close to the cuticles without having to do any clean-up. If you're careful and have a steady hand, of course. Another plus is the opacity - I used 2 coats, but Bonkers could easily be a 1-coater as well. They dry fast and have glossy finish. I can't see a single downside with these...
The colors are great too. They're somewhat muted, almost pastel looking, yet vibrant at the same time. And Bonkers is a perfect warm purple/plum polish - one coat? Yes, please. I can't pick my favorite out of these four shades. If I count my style and personal preferences, then I'd probably pick Bonkers, but I also love Swagger and Chillax and although I'm SO not a lover of orange/yellow shades, I like the look of Totes as well. Oh, it would be too hard to pick.
Can you pick your favorite?
