Urban Decay Vegan Palette

You know me: there's a better chance of hell freezing over than me buying an expensive eyeshadow palette. It's not that I wouldn't want to have it, I just don't think it's worth spending all that money on. Besides, I have more important things to pay for - like vet bills for example. When I got this Urban Decay Vegan Palette as a gift, I thought I was gonna faint. I couldn't stop staring at it and I didn't want to touch it. Just to keep it intact. Swatching was out of the question at that time.

Two green shades, gunmetal, brown, bronze and golden shade, 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and mini eyeshadow primer. Everything you need for an eye make up look (everything besides mascara). And all those cute animals on the packaging... it just can't get any better.

Then the whole Urban Decay going to China thing happened. At that time I didn't feel bad about swatching the palette anymore. Hell, it's just make up, right?

Yes, the shadows are quite well pigmented and easy to work with, but they're not THAT special. I can make a look like this with my 4€ palette and noone will know which one I used. With a good base, everything lasts 12 hours on me. And since I'm already talking about base - I doubt I'll be buying UD Primer Potion again. I think I'll just get myself that cheap ELF primer, because it works wonders on my sister's eyelids. Yeah, I said it. I don't think I'll be needing you, Urban Decay.

Just to clear it up: I like to buy cruelty free products, but I'm not focusing on those products only. Deal with it.

Urban Decay Primer Potion - Use it Up!

Urban Decay Primer Potion - as gorgeous as the packaging looks, it's also very impractical. We all know that, don't we. I'm gonna tell you how I made the most out of it. I didn't invent anything new, but I thought it might interest you. Let's take a look...

So, this is your standard Urban Decay Primer Potion. It looks so pretty, but you have a feeling you're running out of the product and preparing yourself to buy a new one.

Before you throw it away, thinking it's empty, make sure there's really no more product inside the amazing purple bottle. First thing you can do (and still enjoy in the oriental shaped bottle) is to remove the plastic cap on the top of the bottle neck. After you remove the plastic part, I'm sure you'll be able to use it for at least a dozen times (probably a lot more).

This bottle is really sneaky though. It will try to convince you one more time, that you're running out of product. There's nothing to loose, so just take a knife and cut the bottle in half (be careful doing it!). Look what I found in there:

And that was after I thought I'd have to buy new bottle of UDPP. See how much product there's left?

I took a spoon,scraped the primer out of the bottle with a handle and put it in a small plastic jar. I think I'm good for another few months. =)

Hope you find this useful. Thanks for looking!

Smoky Eye

Smok(e)y eye is definitely one of my favorite eye make up looks. This is my mild version of it. =)

I used:

* Urban Decay Primer Potion
* Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette (silver & black)
* Miss Sporty Mini-me eyeliner in Snow (on my waterline)
* Maybelline Great Lash mascara

EDIT: Biberlee wanted to see this look with my eyes closed. Here you have, honey. =)

Urban Decay - Toxin

Urban Decay is a cosmetic company known to almost every woman (if not, it certainly should be). They've created some of the best make up ''must-haves'' and they are known for their original packaging. I love them for that, and I love them 'cause they are ''cruelty free'' (they don't test on animals).

I've got something poisonous for you today: Urban Decay Toxin nail polish.

It's a purple base with yellow, orange and green shimmer and it really looks like a toxic waste (in a good way). :)) Speaking of toxic, I just had to post this picture below. Just to make sure, you won't try and jump in Toxin nail polish - because it won't give you super powers! Wearing it on your nails might do the job, though. :D

Here is Toxin on it's own. It sooooooo sheer ... it needs 4 coats to look like this.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great color. I'll just use it for layering because it works that way better. Here it is over Orly Charged Up. *loveeeeee*

What do you think about it?
